oh who gives a **** anymore. I'm reduced to hoping Mizzou's team loses.

BIG SHOWDOWN THIS WEEKEND.

I hope your second stringers are limber and ready. They should get plenty of snaps starting late in the 3rd quarter.

If it makes you feel any better, Darrian Miller recommitted to you guys, so at least you've got some talent coming in next year.

Our class is shaping up to be decent (by our standards) if we can keep all our guys. There are a lot of rumors about some changes being made within the program, though. S&C getting canned, some guys being "asked" to transfer. Allegedly, there are more than a few cancers in the program.

There probably isn't a defense out there that will be able to stop auburn's offense this year. However, Auburn's secondary is still a joke. Lsu just didn't have a qb who could take advantage. Looking ahead a bit, bama matches up well with au...strong defense and reasonably good throwing qb is what it will take to beat auburn...obviously au needs newton to remain healthy...dt nick fairley's health is almost as important.

Well if Houston Nutt is ever gonna take the chains off Masoli, now would be the time to do it. The offensive playcalling this year for the Rebels has been completely ridiculous given that they have a quarterback like Masoli. The times when Nutt actually calls plays that suit Masoli, they score points. But Nutt insists on playing smashmouth run up the middle football until it is too late in the game for Masoli to do much good. So hopefully he will actually let him play this weekend.

Ole Miss' offensive strength this year has been their passing game with Masoli and our young and extremely athletic wide receiving corps. AU's great weakness this year has been their secondary, so let's see if Nutt is smart enough to exploit that. Ole Miss' only chance is to just win a shootout because their D isn't going to stop Newton. A shootout is the only scenario where I see them winning. The only way to do that is to not run the ball up the middle for three quarters like he has done all year.

Sounds almost exactly like the problems Texas is having.

Any team with an above average passing QB, talented WRs, and a solid offensive line has a legitimate shot at beating Auburn. I'm pretty sure both Oregon and Boise State would score 50+ points on AU.

edit - Masoli is going to cause some problems for AU...vegas has the line set at 7 points.

Damn. They held practice indoors the day before, went out in the same winds, and the kid tweeted that he was going to die in those winds. This is a serious problem. I hadn't read much about it before.

Practice continued for 25 more minutes.

What? I'd think that would be a good time to tell the kids to hit the showers.

The UCD football team uses the same types of lifts to film their practices and games and they're almost always tilted one way. I always think how I'd hate to have to go up in one of those things because they don't look all that stable.

This might get really ugly.

Those lifts have signage on them that states clearly that operating in high winds is prohibited. It would be nice of Indiana OSHA dropped the hammer on Notre Dame for criminal negligence, but I'm not holding my breath

I'm sure the family will be taking the school to civil court though.

Kelly was with the kid until he was in the ambulance. Sounds like they ushered the team back inside to keep them out of the emergency crew's way once they got there and maybe the assistants kept them practicing while they attended to the kid outside. Kelly ended practice when he got back inside.
