Ok, honestly. That was the worst series of the year by far.

The Astros and Reds say hello...

This was much worse.

So much for thinking that this team might have actually turned it around a bit against the Brewers...we get three nice pitching performances and can't muster any run support against the Washington Nationals...guess the cold weather must have gotten to them....ha!

On Sunday the Cubs scored 12 runs against the Brewers. The next series against Washington they scored 8 runs.

I think those numbers are correct. I'd be lying if I said I'd paid too much attention to our lovable losers lately.

I really wish a member of the media would ask Lou what he was thinking there.

Kaplan will applaud the move. Anything's better than that lazy Soriano. Plus you can't trust Geovany Soto coming off the bench in a situation like that. You have your bench guys, and you have your starters, and how many times do you see where a starter come off the bench and can't get it done. Especially lazy no good pieces of trash like Alfonso Soriano.

A friend of mine at work actually knows Kaplan. Says he's a complete d-bag and is a complete d-bag to his former wife and kid. Just adding some more fuel to the fire.

I am watching recap on Comcast and it is amazing how the Nationals pitcher went inside to Byrd and Fontenot to get outs with the bases loaded and then jammed Ramirez on the double play ball. I don't see the Cubs pitchers do that much.

Complaining about the Cubs pitching seems...peculiar.

Lost 2/3 to the Nationals. Let that sink in for a moment. 3-3 homestand would be an optimistic homestand.

Well, at least we still have the Hawks.

My bad I did not choose my words properly or failed to add the proper perspective, I wasn't complaining, just making an observation. A lot of teams pitch to the outer 3rd so much, I think the hitters are surprised when they get pitched inside like that. All of the pitches looked like balls but probably looked very hittable to the batter. Like I said earlier, the Cubs starting pitchers should revolt.

Lou was ticked in his press conference. I love it when he was asked about not bunting with Fontenot. Lou acted like it was the dumbest question ever, yet he is the guy who tries to bunt all the time. Hey Lou, you pulled Soto the other day to have Koyie Hill try to bunt a guy to 2nd base. How dare you question the reporter. I did like the fact he said how about driving him in or getting him over swinging the bat. Agreed Lou, but when the hitter fails and you use a different strategy tomorrow, what questions do you expect to get from the media?

You can at least understand Lou's logic with a left handed hitter at the plate with a runner on second. But to snap at the reporter like he did for asking a reasonable question just makes him look like an ass hat who is already cracking

Thats been how Lou has handled the media since he got here. Anytime he is questioned about his moves(and believe me its not very often) he snaps at the reporters and acts like Mr Tough guy so the reporter will shut up. The Chicago media has been scared of him ever since he really went off on 1 of the reporters who questioned him, and since then they have all went along with every little thing he says or does, with no questions at all. The Chicago media is so soft on him its unbelievable. The New York media would be ripping him apart the last 2 years, but not the Chicago media, they choose scapegoats on the team to blame the horrible excuse for a team.

i think we have the newest no-name turned cy young candidate for the cardinals - jamie garcia. and bad news on this one folks, he's under their control for a few more years.

He was a top prospect in their system, but now he's coming off TJ surgery. Apparently TJ surgery and Dave Duncan is the cure for any young Cardinal pitcher.

He doesn't have much of a K-rate, though to this point, but nobody's made good contact off him.

His name is spelled Jaime, and my personal favorite thing about him is that they pronounce it Hy-May. Rare to get the doubly douchey misspelling-a-name-on-purpose-to-be-different combined with attaching a douchey pronunciation to it. I already can't stand him.

It's probably cause he's from Mexico.
