Why the [expletive] [expletive] was Chad [expletive] Tracy the pinchhitter for Hill and not Soto? Lou is the stupidest [expletive] manager this side of Dusty Baker.

I'm so glad the scrappy Cajuns refuse to take walks or show any type of patience. He just walked Nady on four pitches.

I'm not saying you are wrong, or that Theriot was right in swinging at the first pitch, but on a scale of 1-100 how intentional do you think that walk was? I'm not watching but I assumed with first base open and 2 outs, a 4 pitch walk was probably less control issues and more pitching around to get a force at 1st, 2nd and 3rd.

Maybe one of our big hitters can accidentaly run into a homer this inning.

Soto and Soriano aren't going to bat this inning.

1 for 12 with runners in scoring position after 0 for 8 last night. The starting pitchers should revolt! I really wish a member of the media would ask Lou what he was thinking there. But the answer is simple, Lou trusts veterans more and Soto hasn't earned his trust. Screw you Lou. The Nationals have 4 damn hits and have drawn one walk, yet they are leading going to the bottom of the 9th.

you can't complain about being 1-12 and 0-8 w/risp, that's just bad luck. but you CAN complain about lou batting tracy in a key situation.

No doubt. I don't care for Riot, but that was not Capps being wild.

We don't need any help losing games, ump.

And quite frankly, I want Lou to get thrown out of a game just because it means he won't manage for the rest of it.

teams generally do not put the winning run on via a walk.

I hope the umpire says, "Lou, you just made some of the ignorant decisions a manager could make and you are questioning my call on a close play?"

and nady against a RHP!!! soto and soriano are clearly better hitters against same-side pitchers than nady. it's just epically stupid the way that inning was managed. little league managers could do a better job - we need a run and we have bad hitters scheduled to bat; let's use our best hitters on the bench.

If I ran this team Lou Piniella would be fired today and Trammell would be interim manager. That is inexcusably stupid.

True...but with the Riot up and 2 outs, it might be one of those exception to the rule types. On gamecast, none of the pitches seemed close.

Kaplan will applaud the move. Anything's better than that lazy Soriano. Plus you can't trust Geovany Soto coming off the bench in a situation like that. You have your bench guys, and you have your starters, and how many times do you see where a starter come off the bench and can't get it done. Especially lazy no good pieces of trash like Alfonso Soriano.
