Wait... what?

Z to pen? Lou leaves door open to moving one of top 3 starters to bullpen when Lilly returns.

That's from Gordon Wittenmyer's twitter. Lou must be drunk at this point.

I'm thinking he just said it could be any of the five, even though it's almost certainly not true.

If he was actually just constantly drunk I wouldn't care as much. The fact that he's deliberating on these ideas sober is whats troublesome.

Im actually at the point with this team that I just hope they keep doing the dumbest [expletive] they could do. Move Z to pen? Sure why not. Keep Shark up? Sure why not. Lets see how comical they can make this season.

That raises another good question. Why the hell is Shark still here, let alone seeing time in close games?

Seriously. Is the Parker/Gaub/Stevens triumvirate on the Cubs' radar?

I have to think he will be involved in the Lilly return shakeup. Although there's no need to wait until Saturday.

Right, there's no reason for them to keep him on the roster until Saturday. Call up Stevens or something to replace Samardzija now and then worry about who else to send down when Saturday gets here.

Fixed.

There's no reason for this guy to be on a ML roster. He had luck in 08 until hitters figured him out. It's not too late to get back into football Drew Henson... I mean Shark!

While I wouldn't mind Trammel getting a shot, I don't see it. You would think maybe after the season, but the Cubs hard on for Sandberg can't be ignored. I don't think he will get the fair shot he deserves.

Once Ram heats up and the bullpen figures itself out though, I don't see Lou's seat being that hot.

Kind of sad. I don't totally hate Lou, but I think we're closing in on the time where the good of the team must trump a final tour of duty for an old time manager.

If we're not talking playoffs this year, then round about late May or June, I no longer see the point of keeping this thing going as is.

I'll be hoping we're sellers too.

He said Hill caught 2 games so Soto would be matched up with Zambrano and fresh.

He said he likes Hill's defensive skills.

He said Soto needs to hit.

I don't see the overreaction. Soto does need to hit. I'm not sure Hill is all that special defensively, but whatever.

And making his determination that Soto isn't hitting enough after 2 games is asinine

The question is , Is Soto a Jerome Walton in the making? ROY then bust

Do you realize he's hitting .286/.459/.429 right now?

Lou doesn't seem to, so why should anyone else?

I laughed during the game Monday when one of the ESPN announcers (Boone?) said something about Soto getting off to a slow start.

You are correct now, and I apologize to geo and hope he continues this upward swing.

Lou's idiocy has reached a new level. You DO NOT move Zambrano to the pen so you can keep Silva and Gorzelanny in the damn rotation.

Ok, I've been a Lou defender in the past, or at the very least thought he wasn't too bad.

However, after today, I'm in the "Fire Lou" camp. Z to the pen is just about the absolute dumbest move he could have made, short of moving someone like Theriot to the pen.

which cub would you have in the lineup??? if you selected xavier nady, you're smarter than the man the cubs are paying four million dollars to mismanage the 2010 team.

Im going to next Fridays game vs Dbacks, anybody know where I can get a "Fire Lou" t shirt? Thought about having one made at www.strangecargo.com but if I do, I want something more than just Fire Lou, and Take Hendry with him. Any clever ideas?

GEOVANY SOTO DOES NOT SUCK

What is wrong with Lou? Seems like even last year, every time he started making some solid contact, he got benched. Soto is very above-average AT WORST for his position. This doghouse stuff is bull.

We send Soriano out there HURT every day in 2009 despite him going 0-4 every day. But if Geo goes 1-6 in two games, he has no place on our roster.
