Lost in all the tourney action today, it was announced that in 2011, Michigan and Notre Dame will play the first night game in the history of Michigan Stadium.

new Michigan athletic director Dave Brandon said he expects an unprecedented atmosphere at Michigan Stadium for the latest chapter in the rivalry between two of college football's most storied programs. "For us, it's an experiment," he said Thursday. "If all goes well, we'd like to have one game a year at night at Michigan Stadium."

Is Bryce Brown leaving Tennessee?

From the sound of it he's staying enrolled for the spring semester, but as for the fall, he hasn't said anything. There have been rumors that he'd want to go to K-State along with his brother, so that could be it.

Here's a story on it.

Bill Snyder sure knows how to get transfers. I think he's gonzo. Good pickup for KSU.

Great for them. Luckily Lane brought in David Oku last year and we already have Toney Williams and Tauren Poole. We've got plenty of depth at running back already.

He built his entire program around transfers, I think he has Blinn JC on his speed dial.

I think the first night game at Wrigley Field could be a comparison to the atmosphere likely at that game.

They bring in temporary lighting. Iowa has done it many times in recent years.

Yeah, before Notre Dame added lights in the 1996-97 renovations to their stadium (and before they got NBC to give them an all-day-games contract), they shipped in portable lights from Musco all the time for home games.

Portable lights in Michigan Stadium are particularly easy considering most of the stadium is below ground level.

The current rumor for the Northwestern Wrigley game is Iowa and not Illinois this season. It doesn't make much sense to play Iowa considering attendance in Evanston would be much higher for an Iowa game than an Illinois game, but it would make it a week earlier than the Notre Dame/Army game at Yankee Stadium instead of the same weekend.

Where are you hearing this cause that would be flippin fantastic.

There are only a few Northwestern blogs, and while this isn't the most active, they do have some sources (mostly players, I believe). I believe them.

If there's going to be a game at Wrigley in 2010, they need to get it announced ASAP. One of the major goals was to have more than 7 months to market the game and sell season tickets, so time is running out.

bummer, I've been meaning to find something to hate about more SEC teams. LSU doesn't bother me enough.

I fell for it at first. My friend sent it to me and in the middle of trying to get my 7th graders to finish a project, I didn't pay that much attention to it. Then I realized it was a gag. It's a pretty good one.
