bummer, I've been meaning to find something to hate about more SEC teams. LSU doesn't bother me enough.

I fell for it at first. My friend sent it to me and in the middle of trying to get my 7th graders to finish a project, I didn't pay that much attention to it. Then I realized it was a gag. It's a pretty good one.

I think it looks pretty cool. I'd actually like to see them do that.

My first thought was... no way they're going to replace their grass with turf. Then I realized the date and it all made sense.

Oregon's spring game will air on May 1st, 5 pm on ESPN2.

Masoli has been practicing with the team. Despite being suspended for the year.

Texas' spring game will be televised, 4 p.m. Sunday, FSN Southwest.

Should be interesting. Looking forward to watching it after hearing that Gilbert has been doing so great all spring. Did any of the WR's enroll early? I can't remember, but don't think so.

So...do you guys actually watch these spring games? Because there is really nothing more boring. Besides maybe spring training baseball.

Not the whole thing, but I will watch part of it and flip back and forth

The two QBs (whom I hear might both redshirt) and DB Adrian White were the only early enrollees. I think Mike Davis might see some action early because of his advanced route-running (I think he's the new Shipley next season) and Darius White might return a few punts toward the end of the season.

I'll watch the whole thing because it's the closest thing I'll have to college football for a few months. I want to see how Gilbert looks with some reps with the first team, the new front 7 and the new base offense (why don't they just commit to the pistol?). I also want to see which 2011 recruits are there.

I've been to a couple of ND spring games, and to the best of my knowledge they're not on TV. I wouldn't watch them if they were, but if it's a nice day on the day of the game, going to a spring game can be fun.

I went to the UT spring game last year and will again this year.

That's too bad. How does this effect ND's class ranking? Hopefully he left them enough time to use the scholarship on someone else.

Even if sarcastic, this is classless. Not even slightly funny.

I just heard that ND's top prospect, Matt James, died in Florida today. Early report is he fell off a balcony. Ugh.

No idea how to react to this. Won't speculate on the cause - obviously, this sucks.

There is a kid on the Rivals mainboard from Cincy who has friends who were there. He says that there was alcohol there, but no one said if James had even had any. Basically, all that is being said is that he just leaned back against a rail that was just too short and fell over. Kids friends just said it happened so fast.

Tragic story.

I have never been but in years past I have thought about going to I.C. to watch their open practice. Iowa does not have a spring game anymore. My main reason was just to tailgate. But over the last couple years the PC police in Iowa City have outlawed alcohol for the open practice in the parking lots. Not that I need alcohol but with the lack of a real spring game I'm guessing it wouldn't be a very good tailgating scene.

I was glad we didn't recruit the guy -- I had serious questions about whether he would even make it to campus.

Knock it off.
