If the game is meaningful for Arizona (meaning the Giants beat the Vikes at noon), then I hope we see our starters play for at least a half. Otherwise if the Vikings take care of business, be prepared to see a lot of Matt Flynn and Matt Leinart.

If the Packers win, they'll play Arizona again the following week.

If the Packers lose, they'll still play Arizona the following week if the Eagles and Vikings win.

I refuse to believe Sunday's Titans/Seahawks game means nothing. CJ is going for 2,000 yards and maybe Dickerson's record, that has to mean something. :D

It'll be really easy for the Titans to just go through the motions Saturday and, in the process, get us a slightly better draft pick. With the likelihood of CJ breaking Faulk's record, the possibility of 2,000 yards and the outside shot at Dickerson's mark (he'd need 230+ yards rushing), I think the guys will play. If they do, I don't think this will be particularly competitive. The Titans struggle when teams throw over the top to big, physical receivers. The Seahawks don't do that well.

After the 0-6 start, an 8-8 finish will be quite a positive and it may put us in that area where trading up to the top 5-8 (hopefully for Berry) isn't unrealistic. A loss and a 7-9 record would still be fairly impressive, but even if it hurts our draft slot, I'm hoping for this win.

Who's Heath Farwell? I'm assuming the only reason he made it is because he's a Viking.

No different than when Ayanbadejo made it. He had a rep as one of the best special teams players in the league two years ago. Missed last year with an ACL and our special teams were awful. Patriots and others tried to sign him to fairly large contract for a special teamer/backup LB.

Vikings kept him and he's been a stud that helped the Vikings rank #1 in Special Teams last week.

The "only made it because he's a Viking" thing doesn't even make sense. It's not like you're talking about the Red Sox/Yankees or Lakers.

How in the world did DeAngelo Williams not make the Pro Bowl last year and then turn around and make it this year?

The same way everybody makes these things, by reputation on past accomplishments rather than current level of play.

Does anyone even watch this game anymore? I think I maybe watch the last 5 minutes of it every year but that's about it.

Never have seen more than a couple minutes, but now that its the week before the Super Bowl I might watch a couple more minutes for novelty purposes.

I generally watch it, but just because it's football.

It's not football.

It's not football.

It's semi-footballesque-ish.

It's generally the closest thing to football we get after the Super Bowl.

Agreed. It's a free trip to Hawaii during sub-arctic temperatures for a bunch of football players who will dress up in uniform for a couple of hours with the likelihood that the uniform will be just as clean when they take it off as it was when they put it on.

That's not football.

You could just watch real football instead of American football ;-)
