Does anyone even watch this game anymore? I think I maybe watch the last 5 minutes of it every year but that's about it.

I generally watch it, but just because it's football.

It's not football.

It's semi-footballesque-ish.

It's generally the closest thing to football we get after the Super Bowl.

A game of Madden would be closer to the real thing. But it's before the Super Bowl now. That means no Super bowl players will play, probably very few conference champ players will play, and a fair amount of 2nd round losers will skip as well.

Yeah, I don't like the idea of it being before the Super Bowl. And I have played Madden while watching the Pro Bowl before, so there you go....

You could just watch real football instead of American football ;-)

Rugby? No thanks.

Austrialian Football starts in March. I would love for them to show at least 1 game a week.

If they showed them, I'd probably watch them. I still prefer American football though.

So I think the Packers scenarios are like this:

If they win they play Arizona because that would guarantee them the 5 seed because they will either finish ahead of Dallas or tied with Dallas and Philadelphia. In that situation Dallas gets the division and the Packers would hold the tiebreaker over Philadelphia (5-1 record for the Packers in common games with Philadelphia who are 3-2). Also the loss by Arizona guarantees them the 4 seed.

Packers win: Packers @ Cardinals

Packers lose (therefore Arizona wins), Philadelphia wins, Minnesota wins: Packers @ Cardinals

Packers keep 5 seed and Arizona keeps 4 seed.

Packers drop to 6 seed (Philadelphia is 5 seed) but Arizona moves to 3 seed by virtue of tiebreaker over the Cowboys. Arizona would be 3-2 in common games with Dallas who would be 2-3.

Packers lose (therefore Arizona wins), Philadelphia wins, Minnesota loses: Packers @ Vikings

Packers keep 5 seed. Arizona becomes 3 seed (they beat the Vikings). Minnesota becomes 4 seed. The chance for redemption!

Packers drop to 6 seed. Arizona gets 2 seed. Dallas gets 3 seed because they have a better conference record than Minnesota. Minnesota gets 4 seed.

Too bad there isn't a way to have Packers vs. Vikings AND Eagles vs. Cowboys.

Agreed. It's a free trip to Hawaii during sub-arctic temperatures for a bunch of football players who will dress up in uniform for a couple of hours with the likelihood that the uniform will be just as clean when they take it off as it was when they put it on.

That's not football.

Except it's not even a trip to Hawaii anymore - they moved it to Miami.

Funny video OMC, thanks for the link!

I can't wait for this scenario to happen. ESPN is going to find some way to make this come true.

Honestly, that would be any networks wet dream of a match-up.

So does anyone else think Josh McDaniels is coming off like a giant tool in this whole Brandon Marshall benching? Not to say that Marshall has always been a choir boy, but if a player says he's too injured to play then why be such a prick about trying to force him back out there on the field. That whole "suck it up and play" think is one of the biggest problems in football, or hell - sports for that matter, as far as I'm concerned.

Oh, and Chris Johnson needs 128 yards to reach 2000 yards on the season.

He needs 233 yards to get the all-time single-season rushing record.

Also, if he gets the 128 yards he needs to reach 2000 and manages to get 17 reception yards he will become the only player ever to rush for 2000 and receive for 500.

I'll certainly be watching.

The Vikings are walking all over the Giants.

With 2:39 left in the half it's 24-0. Favre is 14/16 with 207 yds and 2 TD, Peterson has 30 yds on 6 attempts and a TD.

Granted, it's the Giants, but this is far better than the Vikings have looked in a while.

Looks like the Packers will be heading back to Arizona for the Wild Card round.

Well, that makes tonights game kind of interesting. I wonder what kind of trickery both teams will try to throw out there to avoid giving either team the advantage next week. If any at all.
