The Chris Johnson vs Usain Bolt race isn't happening....Bolt's agent shot it down pretty hard.

"There is no truth to the story and I have contacted ESPN in an effort to get them to take the story down because we don't want this to spread like wildfire," Simms said in a phone interview with Universal Sports' Joe Battaglia.

"Usain doesn't follow the NFL too closely and is not really familiar with all of the players. He likes football (soccer) and cricket. But more importantly, he has a schedule and a coach to follow and there is no chance that we would set up this type of event."

Woodson has 9, Revis has 6. So Woodson has 33% more INT's. Which is alot

Using interception totals to compare CBs is like using batting average to compare baseball players. I don't think there are many people here who wouldn't take Revis over Woodson.

Yeah, interception totals aren't a great way to judge CBs.

Thanks.

By the way, I was shifting through the various positions and look who is last at HB: http://profootballfocus.com/by_position.php?tab=by_position&season=2009&pos=HB&stype=r&runpass=&teamid=-1&numsnaps=25&numgames=1

Ouch.

Look how far in last he is in just the rushing category. By far the worst runner in the NFL according to this.

Apparently he was also a negative rusher in 2008 but his pass catching was fantastic last season and more than made up for it. And McKie was the worst fullback in the league too.

ETA: Tim Shaw tied for best STer in 2009.

Arom sitting 26th for WRs despite having so few snaps.

Cutler, Kreutz, Garza and Aroma were the only 4 to get a positive rating on offense. Cutler was easily the best player on the team this season, apparently. :?

Alex Brown, Jamar Williams, Nick Roach, Israel Idonije and Anthony Thomas on D (well, Tinoisamoa and Urlacher too but they didn't play much). Why the hell didn't Jamar Williams play more?

Time to read up more on the methodology. I like what I have read so far.

Orlando Pace 74/77 in Tackles

Chris Williams 64/77 in Tackles

both bottom 5 in QB pressures allowed (and Pace isn't even close to as many snaps played as any of the other guys)

there is evidence to Williams improving down the stretch however

and not Marvin White? that throws their respectability right out the window

edit: i guess Griffin's 650 snap advantage might deserve him the slight edge in cumulative awfulness

I haven't looked at their week-by-week stuff yet. I'd be interested to see how much Finnegan improved as the season went along (if at all).

The A-Train switched positions and made a comeback this year? No wonder we had trouble getting pressure!

I had been waiting for someone to post this. Revis dominates Woodson in coverage. Woodson makes it close due to his rushing defense. While rushing defense is helpful I will take the better cover corner every time, especially when it is this wide of a margin. The best way I can put it is CB rush defense is like a QB who can scramble. It helps and makes an impact on the game but the QB who is a much better passer is the one you take every time.
