Already got my tix and hotel reserved for the Cotton Bowl. Wish we coulda beat Miss St and thus gotten Cap One to play Penn State, but I'm excited about going to see a game at Jerry World.

I'm quite worried that Va Tech is going to thoroughly smash the life out of UT. This is a terrible matchup for Tennessee. Good defensive team with a mobile QB while having to replace at least two coaches.

This could be ugly, though Monte Kiffin having 3 weeks to scheme for someone can only be considered a positive.

I get to put up with Tebow is Jesus fans on New Year's. Wonderful. I wonder how many fights will break out on Bourbon Street on New Year's Eve.

Apparently, according to the local beat writer in Columbia, had Oklahoma State beaten OU and gone to a BCS bowl, the Cotton Bowl would have chosen Mizzou. At least thats what MU's understanding was from Cotton Bowl officials. Thanks a lot Ok State. Ugh. Mizzou better win the Big 12 Championship sometime soon. I'm sick of getting passed over every year.

Oh, and for those who think Mizzou travels like crap, we had 35,000 at the Cotton Bowl in 2007, which was probably more than kU had for the Orange Bowl.

so torn. i hate tebow and florida and would love to see him lose his final game. on the other hand, the cincy fans here need a dose of reality and it'd be nice to see them humbled with a florida blowout (which is my prediction.)

Doubt it. KU fans travel better than Missouri fans. Deal with it.

who cares if you're going to the independence or the insight or the texas or whatever? yeah, isu has no business getting picked over mizzou for the insight, but what difference does it make? neither of them are good bowls. i can see being upset about getting screwed out of a BCS bowl, but who cares otherwise.

Just found out that they opened up a BCS store for the holidays down the street from me, thought that was pretty cool.

Where exactly is this?

Southlake Town Center, not far from you at all either. Not sure where in the center, just got an email about it.

thats not the point. nobody cares about being passed up by one crappy bowl for another. the problem is its the third year in a row where mizzou has been passed up by an inferior team, one which we beat AND finished ahead of in the standings. kinda sucks.

Here's the ballots from the final coaches poll.

http://www.usatoday.com/sports/college/football/2009-final-coaches-ballots.htm

Les Miles' Top 10:

1. Alabama

2. Texas

3. Florida

4. TCU

5. Ohio State

6. Oregon

7. Boise State

8. Cincinnati

9. Penn State

10. Iowa

Head to head is apparently not of great importance to Les.

There are so many moronic things with that top 10 that it's hard to name the worst offense. I guess I'll go with an undefeated BCS team being behind three teams that have a loss on the season.

2 of those teams having 2 losses. Ohio State's losses not even coming to particularly good teams.

• Five other coaches voted Alabama No. 1 and TCU No. 2. All five, like Patterson, are from schools outside the six conferences with automatic Bowl Championship Series bids: Navy's Ken Niumatalolo, Ball State's Stan Parrish, UNLV's outgoing Mike Sanford, Houston's Kevin Sumlin and Louisiana-Monroe's outgoing Charlie Weatherbie.

Doesn't that just say it all right there?
