Roto thinks Hendrys an idiot

According to Tim Brown of Yahoo! Sports, the Cubs and Mariners are discussing a swap of Milton Bradley for Carlos Silva.

If Seattle GM Jack Zduriencik pulls this off, we might as well hand him the Executive of the Year award today. Silva, 30, posted an 8.60 ERA and 1.70 WHIP in 30 innings this past season and a 6.46 ERA in 153 1/3 innings the year before. Bradley may be a clubhouse cancer and may have had an off year in 2009, but he's not nearly as terrible as Silva.

Who is a good baseball player. Working with what you got is not turning a good baseball player into a bad one.

Carlos Silva is Shawn Estes bad with a Soriano esque bad contract. I don't care if Bradley is the unhappiest MF in Chicago, I much rather have a pouting Bradley over a godawful pitcher like Silva.

I might do some bodily harm if the Cubs end up with Silva for Bradley.

If for The Jays changed there mind and were willing to take Bradley , I think Overbay would be headed to the Mets , Castillo to the Cubs.

right, he is a good baseball player with significant issues and injury issues

i don't know how you guys can be surprised that the bradley deal coming soon, whatever it may be, is probably going to turn out to be ugly

how?

Probably because they don't HAVE to trade him, especially for someone that will make the team worse?

Another AL team is in mix for #cubs Milton Bradley but it's not Mariners or Angels. There could be announcement Wednesday

I really hope that Mr. Ricketts is taking a long hard look at what his [expletive] GM has done and is continuing to do to his team over the last year.

LOL relax, deal is unlikely. Stop acting like it's done already.

High level Seattle source shoots down Bradley-to-M's rumor

You guys remember a couple years back when Lilly was signed that Hendry also liked Silva a great deal? Man, alive. I really am convinced that homey is trying to get fired.

Maybe Hendry is stupid like a fox, and leaked this Bradley-Silva rumor.

Thus every other GM in the league raced to their phones and offered him something for Bradley, knowing they could obviously beat that.

That's certainly the bar he should set if he wants more bidders, Carlos Silva. Stupid like a moron.

hahaha

Has there been any talk of Cleveland wanting to get rid of Westbrook or Carmona? They could fit as an AL team looking for a bat.

See, there's a reclamation project i wouldn't mind, Fausto Carmona.

Edit: Give me Michael Brantley and Carmona for Bradley and I'll eat some cash.

you need to learn that every reported trade possibility is not actually something that jim hendry is eagerly pursuing.

It looks like this thing is gaining momentum. Let's hope it's done by the end of the meetings. Unless we get Silva.

Gordon Wittenmyer of the Chicago Sun-Times reports the Mariners have shot down rumors of a Milton Bradley-for-Carlos Silva swap.

That sound you just heard was a collective sigh of relief from Chicago's Wrigleyville neighborhood. The Cubs should want nothing to do with Silva, who has been awful since signing a four-year, $48 million with the Mariners in 2007. Bradley may be on the move, but probably not to Seattle.

Thanks to Hendry's tremendous desire to trade Bradley, I am now familiarized with every bad contract in the big leagues today.

Not really sure what this knowledge will do for me going forward, but I owe it all to Hendry.

I think everyone fully understands the disdain you have for Hendry and everything he does, has done, and is rumored to do.
