    Did a nice job of drafting with San Diego. Always had rave reviews when he was an understudy in Boston. Sample is too small to evaluate his tenure in SD, I think. Not so sure about the Gonzalez trade being a great package. Most of those guys look like future role players at best.

    Have to say I'm excited by Ricketts as of late. The draft spending and the firing of Hendry shows he gets that the direction of the franchise needed to be changed.

    Yet another chance for Quade to take the spotlight off what a horrible job he's done with this team. What do you want him to say? Zambrano is a clown and just because some Chicago media types love batting average and scrappy white guys doesn't change that. He deserves to be called out by his manager and anyone else.

    Vitters would have a lot of value if he was good defensively at 3B. As it stands now he's really going to have to improve with the bat to be evem an average big league player.

    Pretty nice haul for KC if true. Milwaukee has pretty much decided to go all in with these two trades. Interesting decision since I still don't think they are good enough to compete.

    Total bargain for a guy who still has pretty nasty stuff. Good signing.

    Too old. Had a great year last year but is a good bet to never replicate it. Probably becomes 2010 Derrek Lee in the next year or two.

    Lopez is still young. Other guys look like filler. Good luck D Lee. One of the best Cubs of the decade without a doubt.

    Castro has to be the best Cubs position prospect in recent memory. Who else is even close?

    Even Smit has a nice K/BB. Could potentially be a cheap middle relief option next year.

    Wallach has some potential. DeWitt is a serviceable 2B. Not an inspiring return but not awful either for a rental.

    Ofman twitter I'd do it. Johnson is likely better than Theriot, Fontenot, Barney, etc.

    Happ isn't a bad return for Lilly. Dempster Zambrano Gorzellany Wells Happ With Jackson, Cashner, Diamond, etc. all waiting. If nothing else it gives us options and trade chips.

    Wow.. Well with the rationale of it being ok that Colvin misplayed the fly ball to him because Ludwick did too, why isn't it ok to say that he should have caught it since Ludwick caught that one? Aaron Miles was hitting. Colvin was playing shallow. If a gust of wind takes an Aaron Miles pop-up to the warning track, there really isn't much he could've done about it.
