Curry has really impressed me, especially his court vision and passing. I thought he'd be the epitome of a combo guard...effective, but too small to be an ideal 2 while not enough of a distributor to be an ideal 1. He's doing a fine job of proving me wrong.

Last year was a good draft year for point guards, with Rose and Westbrook looking like future stars, Chalmers looking like a solid young player, Augustin showing some upside, and Bayless still up in the air. This year looks like it's going to be even better.

All numbers put up under Nellie ball need to be taken with a huge grain of salt, IMO. You look at their roster and think they should be good because they have a number of effective players (fantasy wise) but they're a horribly constructed team full of swingmen, combo guards, and tweener forwards.

The Warriors basically answer the question of what would happen if you took the best possible pick up basketball team and unleashed them on the NBA.

Time for a ELCABALLO45 bone out fest to Jennings!

32 points, 9 assists and 4 boards in a 108-102 win over Denver last night, he made a couple really nice passes during the game as well.

Through 6 games Jennings is at, 20.7 ppg, 5.2 apg, 4.3 rpg and is shooting 45.5 % from 3 point land.

Bogut is really starting to play well, 23 pts, 10 reb, 4 blocks last night.

This is a part of a Yahoo! blog about the Bucks d.

On the other end, Andrew Bogut managed the office. The paint. The defense. He blocked four shots, sure, but that's one a quarter. The man helped most by moving his feet, and changing shots. He's the anchor over what has been the NBA's best defense thus far, and it's been great to watch.

Bucks are 4-2, with a loss to a Bulls team they were up 16 at one point and without Redd. Im not saying they are good by any stretch of the imagination, however they have been fun to watch. And when they are 25-57 to end the year, I will remember how fun they were if only for a couple weeks.

How did the Hornets get so bad so quickly?

In other news, the Lakers are tall and good. I just realized that 10 of the Lakers' 13 players are 6'6" or taller.

Byron Scott fired as Hornets coach.

Long overdue. No team with Chris Paul should be losing let alone one that has Peja, West and Okafor too. They aren't a great team but much better than they have been playing.

Coincidence that two years after they left OKC the hornets are awful and OKC is ahead of them? I think not!

Also to CB, peja is awful (now)

Lebron changing his number to 6 next season and says nobody should wear 23 again in the NBA. Nice show of respect from Lebron

That's dumb.

Heh to each their own. I dont care if anyone wears 23 around the league, but it wouldnt be the 1st time the league has retired a certain number. I think this is also a way for Lebron to change to his favorite number, which hes hinted hes wanted to for awhile now.

I thought the Gretzky thing was a slap in the face to Jackie Robinson. Oh this guy, integrated the sport, and was helpful to the civil rights movement!

Yeah, well this guy scored a [expletive] ton of goals and made hockey popular in LA for 3 years!!

I think its probably more about his desire to become popular around the world. Market is world brand. Harder to do when you wear a number that makes everyone think of Jordan. He can switch to any other number and that number will be come his number. No matter what he goes on to do in the NBA 23 would never be considered his.

yeah hardly anybody outside the u.s. knows who lebron james is.

LeBron himself on multiple occasions said his goal at this point of his career is to continue to develop his world brand. That's where all the rumors of him going overseas started. It's a lot easier to do when you have a number that when people see it they think of you and not someone more recognizable than you.

So....this is a precursor to him joining the Bulls?

what happened to the kings? When we played them with kevin martin we absolutely destroyed them. Now without KMart we lose a close game to them, they win a close game against the jazz, and now they dominate houston. Unless houston decided to finally play how they should be playing without yao and tmac, what happened to the kings?

What has MJ done since the time LeBron entered the league to change his mind?

I think it's good, but why did you pick 23 to begin with?

great win by the thunder tonight, they dominated the spurs the whole second half. I don't think many people know how good the thunder actually are this year.

Westbrook went 19, 11, 5 tonight. I just wish this kid could play this way every night.

Durant had 25 again tonight, 13 of them from the line. The only pure scorers i would take over him would be Lebron, Kobe, and Wade.
