The thunder, pistons, blazers, and the knicks have the most cap room for next year. The pistons have to make a decision to re-sign hamilton or not. If they do, their cap room will drop significantly. The blazers have to either re-sign roy and aldridge or let them go. most likely they will resign both and then they'll fall into negative cap room space. So most likely the two teams that will have the most cap room are the knicks and the thunder since both of them don't have to worry about anyone to resign. For the thunder green and durant don't have to be resigned til 2012 and westbrook til 2013. The knicks just don't have anyone that is any good. The thunder are around 20-30 million under the cap and the knicks have about 10-20 million after some people leave both teams. The thunder right now are 17mil over and after this season Etan Thomas (8mil) and Earl Watson (3mil) are coming off the books, so that opens up another 11 mil. I don't care enough about the knicks to do any reasearch. These two are the two teams with the most flexibility for the big 2010 free agent market EDIT: I guess the grizzlies have a lot of room too. Although the place where i found all my information was before the 2009 free agents signed. So i don't know exactly how much they spent last offseason. ANOTHER EDIT: The thunder are also lose ollie, bowen, and livingston which opens up another 4mil

The thunder beat down the wizards tonight, nice win to get us over .500 13 games in. No one was predicting the thunder to be this good Durant had 35, westbrook 26, harden 25, green 19, sefolosha 16. I LOVE having a young team! Harden's last two games he has scored 24 and 25. He was 6-7 on 3's yesterday and 4-6 tonight. This kid can straight up shoot. I am so happy we didn't get the chance to draft that tall uncoordinated looking kid(can't remember his name) I can't remember if someone said earlier in this thread that harden couldn't shoot, but if you did that is nowhere near correct. Durant is a monster. That sums up every game for him. Sefolosha made arenas look awful, he shot around 30%. I love watching him play defense, he's sick. Even though 16 points out of him is kind of a surprise but i'll take it. Also, how do the wizards not win more games? They have a SICK starting lineup; Arenas, Butler, Jamison, Miller, Haywood. I guess they have too many people who want to shoot or whatever. I'm just happy that OKC doesn't have a team like that.

I don't know if it was ever discussed here, but how do bulls fan feel about the whole rose cheating on tests thing? Do you guys just say, "whatever, that happened in high school. So what if he cheated into college it's the past now" or do you think that it is affecting his down year this year?

Wade is easily better than Durant. Durant's great but let's not draw sweeping conclusions from one game shall we? KD is also an absolutely horrific defender too. Although from what I've seen of him so far this year he's gone from historically awful to merely terrible. He still needs a ton of work in that area. I actually think Durant is now above average. There's a guy that charts defensive possessions, and Durant's been in the positives in almost every game this year. The thunder are the fourth best defensive team in the league, if durant was really that bad we wouldn't be this good overall Obviously it's just 12 games, but defensively, he's been 100 perecent better. I actually think that's why his shooting percentages are down, he's not used to expending this much energy on D.

Although from what I've seen of him so far this year he's gone from historically awful to merely terrible. He still needs a ton of work in that area. what i was saying is i would rather have the 21 year old, 4 million dollar a year kevin durant over a 27 year old 15 million dollar a year wade. Even if you put wade over durant he's not that much better to where he makes up for being six years older and getting paid over 10 mil a year more. Just for refrence, when wade was 21 he was averaging 16 ppg, durant is averaging 28. also, it's not like durant is about to turn 22, he turned 21 about a month ago. If someone was starting a team and was guaranteed to keep a player for the length of his career, all players played until they were 35, et al; Most people would take lebron then durant Durant will be pulling in one of the highest salaries in the league as soon as his rookie deal is done. I see what you're saying about youth and potential and all of that and I don't necessarily disagree. I was just saying it's pretty silly to all of a sudden change your mind about Durant vs. Wade because Thabo stopped him in one game. As for the who would you take to build a team around argument...I would dispute that. Durant would get some votes here and there but most would take Howard and Paul I think (after Lebron of course). yeah, you're right about howard and paul. I didn't think about guys like them, i was just thinking scorers On a side note about paul and the hornets, i'm so glad the nba didn't let us keep them now. Ever since they left okc they've been going downhill fast. It sucks to be a hornets fan right now. They look like they're going to miss the playoffs and i know that they won't ever trade paul because he is their franchise, but i don't see any reason for paul to stay when he becomes a free agent. Paul said he loved OKC while he was here, bring him in presti! Durant and Paul :beg: =P~ :yahoo: lol

It felt good to destroy the heat in there house, especially since wade was just screaming that it was his house a couple of nights ago. Good job against the thunder wade. Durant's points in the last five games: 32, 40, 25, 30, 37. 33 ppg, shooting 50% and 90% from the line. I think i will redo my previous post and take him over wade. Watching wade play tonight, he was easily defended by sefelosha and wasn't very impressive.

You live near Oklahoma City. and? I don't have a point. I just think OKC sucks. figured

man, cleveland sports are awful (outside of lebron). If lebron leaves, they are going to have nothing. Cleveland doesn't have a good college team, the indians are awful, the browns are the worst team in the NFL, and if lebron leaves I don't see how the cavaliers could continue to be good.

i've heard from writers that have been cold-calling GMs and front office people asking whether there is any interest in Iverson and the results have been a resounding "no." In fact, the only response that wasn't a no, was a "hahaha." As it should be. I don't understand why a winning team would want to bring him into the mix. His only appeal is to sell tickets for a terrible team. And I say this as someone who loved AI pretty much his whole career. Then he came to the Pistons... sorry, i guess my sarcasm wasn't obvious enough. The last thing I would ever want would be for iverson to come here and destroy this young (maybe playoff) team

i hope the thunder pick up iverson

why do people bother trying to tackle peterson? All he does is make you look like a 8th grader then you end up on a poster as the guy who got thrown.

great win by the thunder tonight, they dominated the spurs the whole second half. I don't think many people know how good the thunder actually are this year. Westbrook went 19, 11, 5 tonight. I just wish this kid could play this way every night. Durant had 25 again tonight, 13 of them from the line. The only pure scorers i would take over him would be Lebron, Kobe, and Wade.

the sec is awful when it comes to basketball, Tennessee is the only decent team in that league EDIT: my bad, forgot about kentucky. But still, the SEC is bad There's basketball in the SEC? :-k I........did not............know......that. neither does the rest of the SEC outside of kentucky
