The charge calls or complete lack there of in the NBA I think is why college basketball is supported more. I like the NBA but absolutely hate their pussification of the defense over the last 10 years.

The Rockets beat the Thunder again tonight and haven't lost to them since they became the Thunder. I was reading the gamer on ESPN and the game notes at the bottom are something I read most of the time because they provide little known facts. I found them to be interesting for this game.

Houston's 116-108 overtime victory at Dallas was the sixth time this season the Rockets have come back from deficits of 10 or more points to win. ... Durant had a season low 12 points at Dallas on Wednesday, snapping a nine-game string of scoring 25 or more points. He rebounded Friday against Detroit with 27 points. ... Oklahoma City is 11-0 when scoring more than 100 points and 2-11 when allowing 100. ... Chase Budinger left the game early in the second quarter with a right ankle sprain.

I couldn't help but laugh at these. Only one of them actually has anything to do with the game that was played (the last one). The other ones seem to be taken from the previous games for each team.

so anyone else feel bad for The Trailblazers. Of course I am biased but still, All players on that team except Andre Miller has dealt with some sort of injury this season. UGH

I feel for you for Yao Ming, but the McGrady injury was probably the best thing that could happen to you guys.

Perhaps but you can't convince me otherwise that a fully healthy T-Mac and Yao wouldn't have made at least one long run in the playoffs. T-Mac got hurt right when Yao was figuring it out and becoming dominant.

BTW I say perhaps because if T-Mac didn't get hurt all the time Morey may never have been allowed to do what he has done.

You would have still probably topped out at the conference finals, and even then it would have been at the expense of the development of Aaron Brooks. You know TMac wasn't gonna let him handle the ball and shoot as much as he has.

That is only last season. I'm talking about all the seasons they have been together.

Gotcha. but you should be happy MJ took a couple years off. Let you get a couple titles.

The Cavaliers, Celtics, Magic and Lakers all lost today. Just kind of an interesting occurrence.

Lets not open that can of worms. I have argued with Andy on that topic more than once. MJ was back for the second one and while his regular season numbers were down his playoff numbers will still on par with what he did in other championship winning playoffs. He did everything in the 95 playoffs that he did in the six championship years but the Rockets still won.

No, no he didn't.

No, no he didn't.

Yes, yes he did.

He averaged 31.5 points per game (higher than 3 of the 6 championship playoffs), 6.5 rebounds (higher than 4 of 6), 4.5 assists (higher than 2 of the 6), shot .484 (higher than 4 of the 6), .367 on 3-pters (higher than 2 of the 6), 1.4 blocks (higher than all 6) and finally 2.3 steals (higher than all 6).

Jordan did average or better in 5 of the stats and worse than average in just two. He was not the reason you lost early that year and Chicago fans need to stop using it as an excuse because it is lame is has no ground to stand on.

Yeah cause that next year after he knocked the rust off, he really sucked. They limped to the playoffs and lucked out once they got there. GTFOOH. The bulls easily win the first year he's out, hell they almost did without him if it wasn't for Hue Hollins being awful. He doesn't retire you are looking at 8 in a row.

The rust was off in the playoffs. I just showed you that Jordan did as well in those playoffs as the years before and after. His being gone was not the reason you lost the second year. He was back for the playoffs the second year and was every bit as dominant. You got beat early in the playoffs because everyone not named Pippen and Jordan didn't do well.

I wonder if MJ had never left if we would had let Horace Grant walk??? Nope probably not.

horace had made the decision to walk before jordan decided to retire. one of the reasons he had decided to leave was jordan himself. mj ran him off, he hated him with a passion.
