I wonder if when Miami is officially out of the playoff picture if they'll go full bore on the Wildcat with Pat White. I'd like to see what a legit passing threat could do back there if he got a lot of snaps.

Tyler Thigpen has been traded from the Chiefs to the Dolphins.

Third string quarterback Tyler Thigpen has been traded from the Kansas City Chiefs to Miami for an "undisclosed" draft choice, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.

Miami has used a 2nd rounder on a QB in three consecutive drafts, and signed a veteran before last season, and they still need to go out and trade for a crappy veteran journeyman? That is Bear-like.

Journeyman? He's three years in and been on one team up until the trade (never actually was on Minnesota). He also wasn't crappy last year. He had a 18-12 ratio. Add in he has is a good runner and you get a pretty decent QB. Not saying he will turn out to be really good, especially with what he has to work with in Miami, but he is a QB who showed a lot of potential last year and would be a better option than Henne.

Displayed a penchant for accuracy, compiling a midseason streak of 161 consecutive passes without an INT, the third-longest string in franchise history … Registered an 84.6 passer rating in his last 10 starts, the sixth-highest mark in the AFC during that timeframe … Also threw 16 TDs and completed 17 passes of 25+ yards over that 10-game span, both marks that ranked fifth in the AFC

Those are points from his KC bio.

That's a journeyman. The fact that he didn't play for Minnesota doesn't matter, he's 25 and with his 3rd organization.

Well consider there isn't a Jay Cutler esque QB available, what else you want the Dolphins to do?

I hear Dan Marino wants to give it a go one more time.

Jeff Garcia was just let go by the Eagles.

Not surprising in the least.

Thigpen wasn't my first choice (would've preferred Rosenfels since Minny isn't using him), but he was fine with the Chiefs last year. Hopefully Henne gets a chance to play first to see if he can be a competent starter, but if he isn't it's better than the alternative of running the wildpat full-time.

If Carolina wanted me to not hate them they'd sign Garcia, but I guarantee you they think they're still just fine with Jake.

I wonder who will move to get him. Someone surely will.

Is it just me, or are there an inordinate number of really bad teams this year? It's only been 3 weeks, and it's already time to write off 1/4 of the league. Browns, Bucs, Chiefs, Raiders, Redskins, Rams, Lions, Panthers, Dolphins and Jags are basically already dead in the water. And I haven't even mentioned all the 0-3 teams, because I think the Titans can still turn it around.

when do those coverage maps usually get updated? it still shows this past sunday

When are the maps updated?

Usually Wednesday night or Thursday afternoon for that weekend's games. Updates and corrections on Friday if needed.

Although it looks like they have updated already.

The Titans have signed returner Mark Jones to return kicks. This makes me happy.

We also signed safety Kevin Kaesviharn - an interesting move that I guess is depth behind Hope and Griffin. To make room for the two the Titans placed Craig Hentrich on IR and cut former 2nd round pick Chris Henry.

Looks like Felix Jones will be out 1-2 weeks. As long as Marion Barber is back it should be too much of a hit. Him and Choice will be fine together.

Crap! Deangelo Williams was my starter, and he's on bye this week, and Jones was my backup.....grrr.

Thanks to the insane 'black out whoever's opposite the home team' rule, I get Jets/Saints this week instead of Bengals/Browns. I guess I should thank the Colts for that one.

Yes, you should thank the Colts that you get to see a pair of 3-0 teams go at it instead of the awful Browns playing the okay Bengals.

I wouldn't classify the Dolphins as being real bad either. They are dead, but they're not bad. Those other teams are horrible.

Otherwise, you're not alone. I've thought the same thing. There's many more teams at the bottom this year compared to years past. At least the 'competition' for the first five draft picks should be good.

Well, the Titans should win. Tennessee's the better team this year and were the better team last year.

That said, we're apparently terrible this year so we'll probably lose.

Such a weird start for them.

I honestly believe vince young should be starting.

The offense is by no means the problem. Vince might make more big plays than Kerry, but he'll also turn the ball over more. This team doesn't need more turnovers.

Collins rating is like 29 in the fourth quarter this season. They have held leads in all games if I'm not mistaken but have always given it up. That is a very large reason why. VY should be getting mixed in at the least.

it's puzzling why they haven't introduced really any wildcat plays with VY and johnson, seems worth a try

i like the Chiefs more than you do, Bukie. they'll probably go into the bye week with just 1 win, but should end up winning 5 or 6 after the break. not really awful like the rest of the teams mentioned (sans Dolphins)
