Monday's going to be surreal. It'd be even better if we could steal a win there and head into the bye at 3-1 before a very easy part of the schedule the next few weeks after the week off.

Im 50-50 on going. As in, I have the money, I have the tickets on hold, I just don't know if I could drop 200 dollars on football tickets.

I think I need to root for a GB win. Minny is too high over beating a couple bad teams and then getting a lucky Favre pass to beat the Niners.

A 3-way tie for first after 4 weeks would be something I'd feel pretty good about considering the schedules each of the teams has played.

Well, the Titans should win. Tennessee's the better team this year and were the better team last year.

That said, we're apparently terrible this year so we'll probably lose.

Such a weird start for them.

I really don't understand it. It's not the loss of Haynesworth because the line is still getting consistent pressure from both the outside and inside (though a bit less consistently there). The secondary simply isn't covering receivers consistently.

The special teams fumbles killed us against the Jets. We were the better team, but they were handed 14 points off turnovers deep in Titans territory. This team really needs to find a safe returner.

Chad Pennington is out for the season (maybe career-ending) with a throwing shoulder injury. Chad Henne will be the new starting QB for Miami.

That Packers/Vikings game is going to be delicious.

I can't wait, I work with almost all Packer fans. I actually want the Packers to win so the Bears have a shot at at 3 way tie. But, if they Packers lose to Favre... Tuesday at work is going to be great. So I see it as win/win.

I'm a huge Packers fan, but I just cannot see them going up to Minnesota and winning. The offensive line is awful, so we won't be able to run the ball against the Vikings. Allen Barbre can't block anything, and he will be facing Jared Allen coming off the outside with his ears pinned back on every play.

Ced Benson and Steven Jackson both had good games against the Pack in the last two weeks, so I am looking for Peterson to have a strong game. Put all these factors together and I do not think that Green Bay has what it takes to win in the dome.

As a side note, I really hate Aaron Kampman standing up. Trade him to a team that runs a 4-3 in the offseason so he can do what he does best. I am sure that there is good value to be had for him with his motor and the way he rushes the passer.

bengals vs. browns games are always fun because there's a chance it'll be a 55-53 shootout.

hopefully though with the new and improved defense, the bengals handle the browns easily this week.

I dropped the New England D and picked up Cincy's D for this week. Lets go Bengals!

Two interesting notes:

Dwight Freeney will miss the next 2-3 weeks.

It should be pointed out that in the past, Freeney has been a notoriously quick healer. But if doctors are correct, Freeney would miss the Colts' next two games against Seattle and at Tennessee before Indianapolis hits its bye week on Oct. 18. Under that schedule, Freeney could return for the Colts' game Oct. 25 at St. Louis.

Tyler Thigpen has been traded from the Chiefs to the Dolphins.

Third string quarterback Tyler Thigpen has been traded from the Kansas City Chiefs to Miami for an "undisclosed" draft choice, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.

Miami has used a 2nd rounder on a QB in three consecutive drafts, and signed a veteran before last season, and they still need to go out and trade for a crappy veteran journeyman? That is Bear-like.

Meanwhile, Jeff Garcia is what....the 4th QB on the Eagles?

Well consider there isn't a Jay Cutler esque QB available, what else you want the Dolphins to do?

I hear Dan Marino wants to give it a go one more time.

We'll see how Henne does, but in my view this is precisely the reason why a decent backup QB is important.

I'm not necessariliy criticizing the move, more the fact that they put themselves in this position. Chad was never going to be the longterm solution. He's a brittle guy with a weak arm and he's missed big chunks of time in most of his seasons. That's 3 straight 2nd round picks on a QB and now some sort of draft pick for another, and they still don't have a clear QB of the future.

Man, that does sound like a bears conversation doesn't it?
