I'm not saying it's racist to wear a pterodactyl suit. I'm saying you might want to consider wearing a pterodactyl suit that looks less like a klansman.

And man, Mizzou fans whine more than anybody I know about getting hammered by team that's about 50 times better than theirs. You can sit there and pretend the game gets called differently for KU, or you can acknowledge that you shot 13% from three, 35% overall, and have a bunch of glorified rec center bigs who can't compete with a legit college front line.

We shot 52% from the field. 50% from 3pt. We had a zillion points in the paint. We're better than you. By a lot. So you're going to have to play a lot better than that to beat us.

Because every time we brought it to the paint we were hacked and no foul was called and Aldrich doesn't play by the same rules as the rest of the league. You better be glad the 3 wasn't falling because we were wide open. Offense played well outside of missing the 3. Have you seen the margin of loss for Mizzou this year? The only two games that Mizzou was blown out were against kU. Mizzou is a lot better school than their record shows and kU would have had a lot more trouble on the road this year against the Big XII if they had to deal with the same homer treatment that everybody else does in the league. Big XII refs are some of the worst homer refs, but not against kU.

In lieu of rebutting your homerific whining, I present you a pic of Cole Aldrich's nuts on some 4 foot 3, DIII post player's head.

Oh, this was the play where he hung on the rim and should have gotten a technical, but guess what, wasn't called.

You can hang on the rim if there are people under you, preventing you from landing safely. Likely you didn't know that because your undersized front line is unable to dunk in traffic.

Missouri really needs some bigs. I know Safford is hurt, but even with him, their frontline is really questionable. Any word if that 5* big they landed will qualify?

I haven't heard anything saying he won't so far.

Glad I missed that nightmare today. Everyone was all pumped up for this one and I just didn't have a good feeling about it. Ugly.

P.S. I won't be surprised if Nebraska knocked us off in the first round of Big 12's.

I used bitterness tags for a reason. If the officiating makes a difference, it means we lose by 23 instead of 15 or whatever. However, you can't really dispute the numbers. It's even more frustrating because Kansas is very, very good. That means officiating inequities are even more irritating because they don't need it. But whatever, you killed us again, so have your fun.

i wasnt really talking about you. it was more eb14, who's somehow convinced KU would be 7-9 in big 12 play if it werent for the refs

LOL, Gabe DeArmond. Mike DeArmond's slightly less drunk, equally homeriffic son.

Again, I think there are several reasons we "get calls." I'll divide them into core reasons and ancillary reasons.

CORE REASONS

Our players are bigger than almost every other team's.

Our players are faster.

Our players are better defenders.

Our bench ensures our players can be fresher.

Our players are generally more talented. (Texas being the possible lone Big 12 exception, but that's negated by Rick Barnes' presence on the sidelines.)

We run our offense through the post, where most teams can't match up and therefore foul.

We're usually winning, so teams might be fouling to try to extend the game.

ANCILLARY REASONS

We don't do lame sh_t like have people dressed up like Ku Klux Pterodactyls in our student section.

We don't run a gimmicky, full court press, slappy-fest defense.

We wear colors that don't burn the eyes, so refs can watch the game more closely and make the right calls.

None of our players have JT Tiller's head:

Our intro video wasn't produced by the same people who did the Eagle Insurance commercials. (Please watch the :30 second mark)

And we're a brand name in college basketball and probably get an extra call here and there.

gah, as already stated, that game was absolutely brutal yesterday. but congrats to ku, theyre really good. i really despise cole aldrich though. itll be interesting to see how he does in the nba when hes not considerably bigger than everyone else.

damn, when did battier's son get so big?

when your head is more wrinkled than your balls, you've got a problem.

You know what his balls look like, what is he Sherron Collins in an elevator?

I think that outome of today' Illinois-Wisconsin game is largely, if not entirely dependent on how or which Illini play or show up. If the agressive, max effort Illini show up they'll win perhaps, easily so.

We had three fouls to give and instead gave up a 3. I hate Bruce Weber and his jr. high coaching ability.

I think a Keaton Nankivil 33-foot shot to close the half is one of the generally acceptable shots to let them have. It's not like it was a Bohannon spot-up 3 or anything.

No shot is acceptable when you have fouls to give and 5 seconds left. None. You are asking for that to happen.

[expletive] wisconsin and their team of whiteys.

Agreed, but I think Bo Ryan is an amazing coach.

And if you foul someone facing the basket in that spot you run the risk of giving them 3 free throws or a 4 point play.

Not really, just wrap em up as soon as they catch the ball. Time would have ran out. That was piss poor coaching out of a timeout, but it isn't suprising.
