do they know that they need to win? i would rather miss everything than make the NIT.

Lol, Weber's done a great job with the program. Because I feel pretty much the same way.

now it's time to see how far we can stretch this losing streak of mine. blackhawks lose, illini lose, that's 0-2 for the day. if you count the last 3 illini losses, 0-4.

 

awesome. [expletive] awesome. my teams will never win a damned thing.

Jim Burr is a joke.

 

I saw Burr and Rick Hartzell and knew the game was going to be an officiating disaster.

Honestly I thought they helped us out some. We shot more free throws today than we have hell ever.

 

I just don't get how Weber keeps his job. At first we didn't have talent so we had to give him a pass even though recruiting is part of the job he's paid millions of dollars to do. Now we have talent and we are poor coached and unmotivated. When is someone in the media gonna start taking him to task? He's a clown that is the very real example of the Peter Principle.

Maybe the powers that be subscribe to the sulley theory of everything that goes badly is a nefarious cosmic conspiracy rather than holding anyone accountable.

It's pretty amazing. I cannot believe there aren't at least some articles saying anything about him being on the hot seat.

Where are those halcyon days of '05 when Illinois destroyed its opponents with ease?

They are still around, they just followed with the coach who put that team together.

Four teams were at home in the MAC Tournament 1st round today and three won.

 

Ball State, of course, lost. Four games ago my fellow grad students were discussing our NIT at-large chances, but Ball State not only pissed that out the door, they lost to four consecutive inferior teams to end the season. I think my two college teams have won a combined like 4 conference tournament games in the years I've been following them.
