I'm not watching the game, but you've got to swing the bat on 3-2 with the bases loaded...and I don't like Bradley throwing a fit and getting tossed on the first bad call of the season either...

Absolutely inexcusable that Soto, Bradley and Soriano can't even produce one run in that situation...

Welcome to being a Cubs fan. It's happened approximately 86,000 times in the 20 years I've been a fan.

I've always wanted some manager to intentionally walk the bases loaded against the Cubs and see how he does. I'd bet more often than not it would work.

Congratulations blue you kept the game tied. Not only that, but you blew a call earlier that resulted in a two run homer by Duncan. Well played.

Soriano caught a break walking before Fukedome's HR. :-$

We'll see a suspension.

he did nothing wrong, but based on his reputation i agree.

He bumped him and the ump was still saying something as Bradley walked off that seemed to be, "This ain't over." Also, his reputation won't help.

Are you serious? He took what should have been five balls in six pitches. He did exactly what any good hitter would and should do, and the ump screwed him over.

You don't have to swing the bat when the pitch is a ball. It wasn't that close really.

Exactly what i was going to say. That ball wasn't even close. The sinker on 3-0 wasn't close either.

If you arent watching the game, and couldnt see how bad of a call it was you cant comment. It was a horseshit call not even close. And considering the moment of the game, everybody on this cubs team probably woulda argued that call.

I'd bet you'd be wrong.

No you don't. Not if the pitch is a ball.

EDIT - D'oh... that's what I get for taking too long.

I can't be too mad at the Cubs. The two outs were a bad strike three call and a hard hit fly ball that probably got knocked down by the wind aka the Cubs had a lot of bad luck that inning.

I don't like Bradley getting tossed, but there are bad calls and there are calls like that one, which was so bad there is no excuse.

I honestly don't mind him getting tossed. He was coming out of the game anyway and like you said, there is no excuse for those two calls.

Bradley saw 5 balls in that at bat and the funny thing is I am stuck listening to the cardinals announcers and they said every strike was right down the middle.

Yup. The Mad Hungarian is such a [expletive] - he's had about 50 Morgan-esque comments today.

Was it that big of a deal? Pat made it seemed like he was tossed right away and that was it.

There may have been a little bumping - from the camera angles I saw it was hard to tell...

I thought I saw a helmet to umpire cap bump. Whether or not that's considered a bump, I have no idea.

Exactly. And he's going to miss 20-50 more games anyways, a couple days off for suspension might help him rest.

The silver lining of Milton getting tossed is that it'lll be replayed on SportsCenter ad nauseum so the public can see how bad the calls were.

I don't know the yankees are getting blown out to open Yankee Stadium... I don't think there's time for any other story.

It doesn't matter how many people see it. Crap like this will continue until MLB really cracks down on crappy umpiring and gets some people in there who know what the hell they're doing.

Man Soriano was just a little out in front of that one or it would have ended up on Waveland, can't fault Bradley there he saw 6 balls the 3-0 and 3-2 pitches were both balls. Even if he swings at 3-0, 3-1, 3-2 he isn't going to do anything with those pitches the only thing he would have done was roll one over and GIDP, there is no way he gets any of those deep enough into the OF for a sac fly.

Sportscenter analysts will just ignore the call, or call it the wrong way, and all the sheep will nod their heads in agreement...
