Remember when the Cubs used to score more than a couple runs a game without the benefit of dozen walks? That was awesome.

Hey, now. The dozen walks are awesome. The inability to get a hit is not.

Just drove home from work and the Cards radio guys were complaining about Cubs fans throwing Duncan's HR ball back. Then, I get home and turn on the TV and the TV guys are complaining about how Ankiel is probably listening to a lot of trash-talk from the bleachers.

Why do they care so much? Do other teams announcers complain about rival fans as often as these guys?

The TV guys weren't really complaining, Ankiel looked back at the bleachers with a grin on his face after he caught a fly ball and they pointed out that you hear some creative stuff with Wrigley putting fans so close to the players.

Cubs bats need to wake up

Bats, they are sick. I cannot hit curveball. Straightball I hit it very much. Curveball, bats are afraid. I ask Jobu to come, take fear from bats. I offer him cigar, rum. He will come.

I'm not saying Ankiel wasn't getting taunted, I'm sure he was, but they act as if it doesn't happen anywhere but Wrigley. Not a big deal. It's just I find it interesting that they always feel the need to comment.
