The Rivals number 2 recruit Rueben Randle will not make a decision known until noon on Wednesday, but there's a rumor going around that his dad was seen yesterday wearing an LSU cap. Take it for what it's worth.

LSU could have the number one class without him, but he would be a nice addition to what is already shaping out to be a very good class.

I won't believe it until I see Ramgod with an LSU hat on.

Most people have no idea where he will go. He's visiting Auburn this weekend, but many believe that it will come down to LSU, Bama, or Oklahoma. Supposedly both Saban and Miles were at Bastrop High School at the same time last week.

Very few Bama people---including myself---believe Randle will go anywhere but LSU. Congrats on getting I would say the AJ Greene of this yr's class.

With that said Alabama and LSU are having a few battles this past week.

Apparently Darrington Sentimore---comiitted to Alabama---took an official to LSU this weeked. LSU is his dream school, but was spurned by LSU for over a yr as LSU chased pipedreams MacFarland and Campbell. He took the official to LSU this weekend, and there is a good chance he could switch. I have my fingers cross because I want to keep Sentimore.

Kenny Bell---and LSU commit---was said to be wearing Crimson Tide gear to his high school all week. Which has lead to speculation that Kenny Bell will de-committ from LSU and head to Alabama.

Janzen Jackson---and LSU commit---was in Tuscaloosa this weekend. Considering Gerald West de-committed from Bama this week, this was an interesting weekend to say the least.

So yeah, Vance, Alabama/LSU is in heated battles for three Louisana players. Jackson I believe will stay LSU---because LSU hired a great DB coach in Cooper which helped. I think Kenny Bell opts for Alabama on NSD. Now the real battle will be Darrington Sentimore. Nick was on Sentimore from the beginning, but LSU is his dream school. Sentimore has himself said he was "confused" as to what he wants to do. This one would hurt Bama if Sentimore switches to LSU---not that anybody would be surprised---because Alabama has no plan B if they miss out on Sentimore, but Bama would be saved for the yr because we do have decent depth at DT.

Interesting week to say the least this week.

Supposedly Manti Te'o (the top rated LB in the country, out of Hawaii) is down to USC, Notre Dame and UCLA but I won't get my hopes up. He's got to be a shoe-in for USC.

Yeah, he does have that "USC" feel to him. I would like to see him at UCLA, to be honest. The reason I want to see him lay some heavy hits on some USC players.

People are saying that Andre Debose had a GREAT visit to FSU this weekend, and that there is serious reason to believe that we could steal him from UF. I'll believe it when I see it, even if he was photographed wearing FSU gear.

I'm curious how Greg Reid's visit to Athens went.

But all in all, we're shaping up to have a hell of a class. If some things fall right, we could be looking at a Top 5 or so.

My understanding is this.....Reid's visit to GA was pretty solid, nothing noteworthy. Greg Reid will be a battle between Bama and GA. Right now I would say GA 52% Alabama 48% with FSU all but eliminated.

i love the recruiting battles in the Big 10. it's always exciting to hear what prospects grandfathers played for Joe Paterno. And what jobs were promised by Tressel to his recruits. It's also exciting to hear what promises Rich Rodriguez will make to get prospects to Michigan. I also like the excuses Big Ten teams will make to prospects when they can't beat the SEC.

Ahh..........good times.

yeah losing all those games to the sec sucks.

Dude, that was a jab at me, and I gave it back. Truff, nows these "recruiting rumors" about the SEC he likes to throw out isn't limited to my conference. Those rumors are rampant through all the major conferences. That was Truff subtle jab at me.

Beside it does suck when the NCAA Title is on the line.

I'll tell you what, Red - you're a typical delusional Bama fan who thinks the world revolves around the grave of Bear Bryant. So let's make this interesting.

If Reid selects Bama, I'll never post here again. But if Reid selects FSU, you never post here again. And if he selects UGA, well, that's an out for each of us. Do you care to put your "money" where your mouth is?

THAT is how confident I feel about the info I have received re: Greg Reid.

once again you're delusional. the sec teams are known for being the worst offenders when it comes to ncaa guidelines. in 2002, 8 of the 12 sec programs had been punished for major violations; no other conference was anywhere close to that. i think the big xii was next and they had something like 4. yes there are isolated allegations within other conferences but it's nothing as "rampant" as the SEC.

Well that's not really fair. If CNS decides he doesn't want Reid, which WOULD BE THE CASE if he doesn't come to Bama, RedFlash can't be faulted for Alabama not wanting an inferior player.

For all the ink and bandwidth that's been used up about ND's recruitment of him (the leis when he came to the Syracuse game, Weis's special visit), they'd better get him.

I always expect Hawaiian/Tongan palyers worth a damn to go to USC now a days for whatever reason.

Point taken, but the bet still stands. I'm tired of arrogant Bama fans, and this is where I've made my stand.

On another note, my guess is we won't hear from Red until after Tuesday. I noticed that he was posting last night until I made the challenge, then he was off the board 15 minutes later - just enough time to see it and leave. Probably doesn't like being called out, I assume.

Stuy, are you trying to get me banned, cause you damn well are trying to start something you can't finished.

First: I'm not old enough to remember CPB coaching Alabama. Bear retired in 1982 and died in 1983, I was born in 1981. Sorry as great of a coach he was, I don't remember him coaching. Plain and simple. So what that Bama fans still love Bear Bryant? He is without a doubt the greatest coach in college football history, wouldn't you be proud? All college fans are delusionals, not just Bama.

Second: I am not delusional anymore then you are an uninformed (and after I read your post, I get the feeling you don't like to read and comprehend). My world does center around Alabama football, cause I am an Alabama fan. And you college football world centers around FSU, so lay off the Michael Phelps. And NO I don't think the college football universe revolves around Bama and CPB, that is simply ignorance on your part. And if you look at the coaches Alabama has had since CPB, you can see why Bama fans still revered the G.O.A.T of college football coaching.

Third: If you READ MY POST, and apparently you didn't, I will say it again, Alabama got in on Greg Reid late and it is remarkable how much ground Alabama picked up of FSU and GA for Reid. But I also said I didn't think Reid would end up at Alabama. And that's true, cause I believe he's GA bound. So no, I am not going to take your bet, because I am not at all confident Alabama will land Reid (we'll find out about Reid tomorrow night as he has schedule a announcement at around 6-8p.m).

As for your bet, shove the bet up your...................fill in the blank. Maybe you feel definant after Alabama took Ed Stinson away from your team, but save your crap for the toilet. You know, how about I change the terms of the bet:

Reid goes to GA or FSU you put me on your ignore list.

If Alabama lands Reid, you're going on my ignore list. Wait a minute, I don't need that bet, you are definately going on my ignore list after this post. And I would recommend you to put me on your ignore list, cause I definately don't want to waste my time on you.

I never said he was an inferior player if he doesn't go to Bama. (or any players for that matter) So lay off, SSR with your misconceptions. It's obvious Nick Saban wants Reid (Reid is a DB, CNS is a DB coach by trade....is that simple enough, SSR).
