  1. Just cause Missouri's out of it after November doesn't mean the rest of the months aren't exciting. Sorry. Had to.
  2. I thought Sandoval was playing 3B every day in SF? 3B production and C eligibility? Me likey.
  3. So, this is likely my last post here. Apparently, I overstepped my bounds in questioning the moderation of this site, and I also called Tim out for his treatment of those of us in the former league. Over the line? Maybe. As bad as some other things you see on here everyday? Hardly, but I'm not the site owner, so my opinion doesn't really mean anything. So, from now on, you'll have to be in touch with me through CBS, and I will be easily accessible there. Carry on, boys, carry on. Clint, this forum is yours, my friend.
  4. A collection from UK's Rivals Website: Wasn't "off court issues". Lets say, "in the locker room issues". This includes but is not limited to BCG trying to kick Jodie Meeks off the team in the locker room in South Bend on Wednesday night. Terrible scene in there. Told Jodie to not come out. Assistants had to convince Jodie to play in the second half. This was not an isolated incident either... Adding to my original statement. BCG came in the locker room and accused Jodie of being the most "selfish" player he's ever been around. He then told him he was "done" and was not going to play for UK again. He actually told him to not come out in the second half. He went as far as to have somebody to stay in the locker room and not let him return. An assistant went back in at the end of halftime and had him come back out. He was back on the floor to start the second half... --------- I talked to Meeks high school coach at the UGA game. This was right after the 54-point game against UT. He told me that Meeks had already started inquiries for transfer and got talked out of it. --------- Miller gets mild concussion at practice in Tampa (SEC-T). On the team bus going back to the hotel, BCG calls Miller out as a "[expletive]", makes the driver stop the bus, and tells Miller he is going to walk back to the hotel. Miller is upset, and five of his teammates come to his defense telling BCG that if Miller walks, they walk. Miller ends up staying on the bus. Also there was an incident that happened with Stevenson & Miller before they left for Tampa... They were both told they were not going to be making the trip and to not get on the bus (for practice issues). An assistant had to step in and get them on the bus. Meeks, Patterson, Harrellson, Stevenson, & Stewart would not have been back if BG was going to be back... That is why this happened and why you heard Mitch reference the student athlete experience being a good one at UK. --------- I heard a variation of this Miller story from a very reliable source that is connected to UK and is a UK alum. I know he would not make it up. The way I got it was that it happened at practice in Lexington just before the SECT. They were practicing taking the charge, and Miller got run over and bumped his head real hard on the floor. He shook it off and resumed practice, and his head began to hurt. He told Billy Clyde that his head was hurting and that he needed to come out. Billy Clyde blew up and called him a puzzy and told him that if he was hurt that he was not making the trip to Tampa. The team left without Miller. Miller called his mother and was crying about what had happened. Darius's mom was with PP's mom, and PP's mom called MB and told him what had happened. He said I already know and that someone was already on the way to re-connect Miller to the team. ----- Now that Gillispie has been fired, I will post my conversation with Jodie's Dad. Mr and Mrs Meeks are nothing but pure class BTW. I talked to Mr Meeks in the Tampa airport and told him that "We'll be fine next year as long as Jodie and Pat come back." He told me that coach needed to make a few changes in order for Jodie to come back. He told me that he felt like coach benched Jodie in the USC game because UK had started the POY campaign. All in all, BCG was not a favorite of the Meeks's. --- Legion may have left because BCG slept with his girlfriend I heard that from one of Patterson's high school teammates. ---- The story about him forcing a player to stand in a bathroom stall during halftime is also true ---- I can personally verify the BCG drinking/girls stories....He once invited my girlfriend, my roomates' girlfriend, and some of their sorority sisters back to his house...and some of their sorority sisters went ---- I had the luxury of sitting directly behind the bench for the Auburn game this year, I mean no one between us and the players. BG is not the only one that treats the players like total crap. Liggins got pulled after being put in for one play and showed frustration while walking to the bench and Cryespin comes over and screams at Liggins to "stop being a GD Pu$$y". It was uncomfortable for the entire section behind us and Liggins acted like he was just done with all of the coaches as well as AJ. These kids dont deserve to be embarassed like that, and it sounds like this is very small compared to what was going on behind closed doors.
  5. Heath Bell, boys and girls. Heath Bell.
  6. I think my offense is significantly better than yours, but your front end pitching is definitely better than mine.
  7. It's better than what was kicked around - GIDP. It was done to keep hitting and pitching even because no consensus could be had on which pitching category to eliminate. It does make 1b and OF slightly more valuable. GIDP is infinitely better than fielding percentage as a fantasy stat. INFINITELY.
  8. I'm in this league too... WTF categories fo sho How many NSBB leagues are you in, anyway?
  9. 16 team, head-to-head keeper league. 20 pitching categories and 17 offensive categories. C- Soto 1B- Mike Jacobs 2B- Ian Kinsler 3B- Ryan Zimmerman SS- Steven Drew LF- Pat Burrell CF- Josh Hamilton (CF/RF) RF- Hunter Pence U- Chris Davis (3B/1B) Bench: Gerald Laird ©, Nick Swisher (LF/CF/RF/1B), Clint Barmes (SS/2B) SP- Chad Billingsley SP- Adam Wainwright SP- Mike Pelfrey SP- Justin Verlander SP- Brad Penny SP- Aaron Cook RP- Jonathan Papelbon RP- KRod RP- Ryan Madson P- Scott Elbert I also have 8 minor leaguers, but I hope that none (other than maybe Ian Kennedy) play much of a role on my team this year.
  10. In a 10 team league, this is a weak team. You have Top 3 players at 3 positions, but I'd be pretty surprised if this team finishes in the top half of the league. If your scoring system is points-based (as opposed to category-based), it's going to be tough for you this year.
  11. it probably is... the downward spiral of your recent posts is pretty concerning In fairness to meph, if he actually said "it might be more unlikely for the sun to not come up than for ricketts to die in a car accident", he would be right. Basically, that statement means it is more likely for the sun to rise than for Ricketts to die in a car accident. that's not what he said. i don't really care anymore though. i don't know why people got so uppity about it I pulled that quote directly from you. And, the very top of the page answers the bolded for you.

  13. I've never called you stupid. Probably other things, but never stupid.
  14. Had to give you a hard time on this one since YOU started the thread and then in the same thread YOU reject a trade offer. ;) Oh, I know. There is one person who I can expect to bust my chops every chance he gets. I think we both know who that is. :ninja:
  15. #-o I knew this was coming, and I was fairly certain from whom it would come. Being surprised that people haven't made more trades does not equate to me making one that doesn't benefit me at all, just for the sake of making a deal. I just see several teams with holes and most illegal teams have too many pitchers, so I would think that some of them would try to trade their extra players who will be released anyway. I'm sure that as Sunday approaches we will see some kind of action.
