  1. Hi, yes, hello, I'm here and still recovering from Sat.
  2. http://i440.photobucket.com/albums/qq129/stuy119/WF%202016%20WS_zpsoep4suvq.png That's a glorious sight.
  3. I would love to read more analysis like this from umpires. It's one thing to watch games and evaluate, it's another to scout, but it has to be completely different to be hearing what batter and catcher are saying while watching the pitches come in.
  4. I love that Javy tagged him out and punched him out before the umpire reacted.
  5. Jesus, Charleston Southern may be without 30 scholarship players for their game against us (FSU). FCS schools only have 63 on scholarship, and they already lost their RB and QB to injury. This won't end well. I have to think there will be a running clock the whole game, if there is a game.
  6. Assuming Schwarber recovers to the point he can play in the OF again. I don't think that's, that big of a concern I'm less worried since he has a pro team rehab staff working to get him back, but he wasn't the most mobile before, and it typically takes 2 years to get the "trust" back in your body (from all reports).
  7. Assuming Schwarber recovers to the point he can play in the OF again.
  8. If, in 14 years this site has provided me with nothing else, the d1baseball.com knowledge is quite possibly the best thing I've gotten. :clapping:
  9. Maybe so. The conference teams seem to be investing a little more money in baseball these days. TV money in the last few years probably has something to do with it. I've always wondered why ESPN never ponied up to show much college baseball and left it to regional networks. Heck, it's almost impossible to find results on ESPN for it either.
  10. To my understanding, it was just one person who had an issue, not the entire team. But I'm sure we're still the worst.
  11. And I feel even dirtier defending the TPD. Those guys are the scum of the earth who are more likely to railroad an innocent bystander than to find people who committed actual crimes.
  12. I probably should, but it pisses me off that people want to ruin a 20 year old kid's life over something that didn't happen, all because of a racist father. Few people in the media have picked up on the fact that maybe, just maybe, he didn't do it, and that we shouldn't rush to judge all situations. To add in the fact that he's blaming a coach who has a history of tossing people off the team (and questioning a schools integrity from top to bottom) is ridiculous.
  13. For me it was the getting away with rape, overall culture, overrated aspect of things. But you make a good point. FSU and OSU have much more in common than they don't. You keep insisting on rape, and there's no evidence to support it. Are you hiding it somewhere? And the culture? Jimbo has kicked many kids off the team or benched them for other issues. He's stuck by players who were later exonerated, yet the media gives him no credit for doing so, only crying about "the culture." lol- He [expletive] a mostly unconscious drunk girl who had defensive wounds on her body. Those are the facts. I call it rape, you can call it whatever you like. Except according to toxicology reports she wasn't drunk and had no other drugs in her system.
  14. Advanced metrics are fine. But that's not how the teams are picked. The way the teams are currently picked for the playoffs, FSU was clearly one of the 4 teams that deserved to be in. I don't have a problem with FSU being in the playoff, I'm just answering your question. By virtue of a pretty crazy series of close wins against a middling schedule they were an undefeated power conference champion. They should have been one of the 4 teams even if on paper they're closer to 10 than 4. And their indignant fans really made a show of ignoring any evidence that they were not good and are hateable. #FSUtwitter On that point, I'll agree - the #FSUtwitter people can die in a fire
