I dont think any of these WRs warrant a top ten pick. No of them have the combination of size, speed, athletic ability as a Fitz, Moss, Braylon, Owens, CJohnson. They are good just not top 10 good.

Harvin: I really like his football speed along with his straighline speed, he is hard to gauge because he doesnt run the 'traditional' football routes as a WR. Is he is Steve Slaton out of the backfield? Harvin seems to run more traps and counters/misdirections than anything. He is a 2nd level runner. Why cant Bush get to the second level while Slaton can?

Tashard Choice looks to be a really good pick in the 4th round. 5'11 215, 4.52. Slaton was third rounder, Forte was second along with K Smith coming on late in 08. All these guys could play at the next level, besides these guys RB seems like a position to wait till the 2-5 round without any substantial fall off.

Tim Tebow is now in the JJ Redick category for me. I cannot wait til he gets to the league and fails. He may be a good person, but I dont care. I will thoroughly enjoy watching him become a nobody in the NFL.

See I think he'll fail, but Redick is a dick and is complaining about playing time by the way. I don't think Tebow will do well in the pros, but he's a nice guy so I'd feel worse for him than JJ Redick failing....But I understand your take on it

What makes you think Tim Tebow is a nice guy? He comes from the Jay Cutler, Philip Rivers, Jake Delhomme school of completely bitchy quarterbacks, only without the requisite ability to throw footballs.

Tim Tebow is a complete douchebag.

because he circumcised some poor filipino kids instead of partying last spring break?

no, because he acts like a complete douchebag on the field.

Michael Johnson has bust written all over him, IMO. I don't like those pass rushers with a high center of gravity and rely solely on speed. Maybe as a 34 OLB he'd be an interesting pick although I like Selvie better in that spot.

Orakpo and Brown are two players I could get behind.

I really want Crabtree for the Raiders, but I read somewhere that Al Davis doesn't like using high picks on WR's so I'm not exactly holding out hope.

Russell, McFadden, Crabtree is a nice start towards building an offense. Does Oakland have an Oline right now?

Not exactly.

They have something. They call it an Oline. Its exact classification is open for debate.

Kinda like the Bears.

I call it five guys who wear Raider uniforms and attempt to block but generally fail miserably and shouldn't be starting in the NFL.

This time next year, I have a strong feeling I'll be seeing Eric Berry declaring for the draft.

Well, in April 2010, you'll be seeing him picked in the top 5. That should make you feel better.

That'll be pretty cool, but I'm still hoping he pulls a Peyton and sticks around for his senior year - even though he has no business doing it.

I have that feeling about Johnson too, but he maybe has the most talent at his position. That'd be hard to pass up. Part of me is hoping he's off the board, because I think Everette Brown can really be a Freeney like pass rusher.

If Tommy Harris can rediscovered his Pro-Bowl talent, then taking a guy like Michael Johnson would be a great move, but if Tommy continues to play like he did in 2008, then IMO it is too much of a risk to pick Michael Johnson.

um he runs "traditional" routes. 95% of his catches during his career are when he's lined up as a receiver. Of those, only like 10% are screens, the rest are real routes.

Yeah he runs go routes. He only had 40 catches this year, its not like there is a lot to work with here. Again, im not question his abiliy, there just isnt a lot to look at compared to other WR.

LSJ.com[/url]"]From his NFL background with the Pittsburgh Steelers, former MSU coach George Perles says the Detroit Lions would be wise to choose Florida quarterback Tim Tebow, if he's available, in April's NFL Draft with the first pick. Perles believes Tebow has too many intangible qualities that the Lions completely lack.

He would only need to spend 5 minutes with them to make the whole team better.

Tough break for the Bears, Packers and Vikings. Tebow is returning for his senior year.

oh man how fitting would it have been if he went pro and got drafted by the lions. I am actually extremely disappointed that he didn't go pro. :(

btw what background did he have with the steelers? I hope it wasn't player evaluation or scouting.

Also, he may "have the intangible qualities" but he certainly doesn't have the physical ones.

I don't even think the Lions would have been that dumb to take Tebow #1 overall. That's pretty ridiculous.

Ok, I said it last year and they didn't listen to me and it's turned out pretty well, but this time we REALLY need a freaking quarterback.

Are you worried that picking a QB high in the draft could look like a 1-game overreaction to an otherwise solid year from Delhomme? Granted the Panthers should have been looking at a QB this year anyway, but thanks to a 6 turnover playoff showing, draft a QB in the first 2 rounds and the pressure will be there from minicamp for Carolina to make a change. Could really screw up a team that I think has one of the brightest futures in the league.
