And they did just that. Not defending the "i'm a bit of a god" thing, though.

and i quote: "Sorry guys, Florida's not jumping Texas if Texas can stay ahead of Oklahoma in half the polls."

in fact my computer projections were completely spot on, i got them exact.

Believe it or not, I was about to say the exact same thing.

Meph covered his own rear in the sense that he never made an absolute declaration. He knows how to exude arrogance, while not painting himself into a corner. You might call it a gift.

"It's gonna be OU-Texas... well, unless this small thing that has to happen, happens." If it's OU-Texas, he's right. If that small thing happens which had to happen, then he's right. Either way he's right and he can continue his autopornography. I suspect he knew what he was doing. He was trying to get as much response as he could, and he guaranteed it by making a post that could be true regardless of outcome. As big a prick as he can be, it was actually quite a brilliant move for someone who derives so much pleasure from ruffling feathers.

during the game on saturday you said, matter of fact that it would be ou-texas, without a doubt.

the way it actually played out was exactly how everyone else said it would

you were miserably wrong again

This is actually not true. Believe me, I wish it were, but it isn't. He always left open the "if this happens" door.

your damn right it's a gift. its like khalil next year. my thoughts are that his true talent level is a 280 or so eqa, but i am not expecting him to be much more than 265 next season. ive got all my bases covered. its quite brilliant and the reason im hardly ever wrong.

they had the same conference records. iowa finished much stronger. iowa beat penn state, northwestern lost to freaking indiana. this isn't some outrageous injustice here.

Iowa finished strong, beating up on Minnesota and squeaking by Penn State, but I don't think that means that they finished "much stronger". Iowa lost to Illinois in the month of November.

Yes, Northwestern lost a close game to Indiana (which they should NOT have lost), but lost Bacher and Sutton (starting Qb and RB, respectively) to injury during the game. They also beat Iowa on the road and have won their last 4 games with their 3rd string RB and a backup QB for a win at Minnesota. By bowl time, they should have Sutton back.

Congrats. You know how to make yourself look like an ass regardless of outcome. That is a gift. You're also good at math. I'd rather be good at being a human, but whatever.

They won 5 of their last 6. Included in that were drubbings of Indiana and Minnesota on the road. They destroyed Wisconsin and beat #3 Penn State. They lost 4 games by a combined 12 points, 3 of them on the road and two of them to top 20 teams.

Northwestern won 4 of their last 6. They lost to a terrible Indiana team and were dismantled by Ohio State. They squeaked by Minnesota and Michigan. Their other loss was a 17 point loss at home to Michigan State.

As far as the injury stuff, I'm fairly confident Iowa beats Northwestern if the best back in the country isn't knocked out of the game. Think maybe with 4 plays from the 8 to win the game at the end he could have gotten it in? They handed Northwestern the game by repeatedly dropping the ball (5 turnovers), one of them when no one touched our KR. It was also our QB's second start.

As I said it stinks for Northwestern fans that you beat us h2h, tied in the conference and got jumped. But I think Iowa is definitely the better team and the fact that thousands more fans will come made it a no-brainer.

Probably hold that for a year and then look at coaching openings next year.

Hopefully there won't be anything dramatic between him and Lane Kiffin.

can anyone give me a scouting report on Minnesota?

They started off with a mediocre early schedule and started out good...Lost most of the rest of there games and finished off around .500...So I don't know...They've looked good against some teams and then lost to Iowa 54-0

I think minnesotacubsfan and I should have some kind of avatar bet over this game.

if kansas played minnesota right now, it wouldn't be close. but bowl games are weird; sometimes teams that are playing horribly at the end of the regular season (minnesota) will get it out of their system and play really well in bowl games. momentum seems to have almost no impact after a month layoff.
