Cincy to the Orange, meaning Ohio State probably to the Fiesta against Texas and Utah to the Sugar against Bama.

Notre Dame will choose between playing Rice in the Texas Bowl and playing Louisiana Tech in the Independence Bowl.

I wish they would've chosen the Indy Bowl to play Tech.

I'm disappointed that a team we beat on the road and that has a worse record has leapfrogged us, but that's the name of the game. This wouldn't have happened if we just took care of business against an awful Kansas team. In any case, it should be a fun game and an absolute shootout.

Haha, we beat you.

I was hoping Iowa would leapfrog MSU. Oh well. Despite the records, I think there should be little doubt that Iowa is a better team than either Northwestern or MSU. That said, I'm happy to have leapfrogged just one of them. Both would be greedy.

...and the fact that MSU and Northwestern both beat Iowa?

But you said that Florida was going to get left out of the title game even if they beat Alabama.

No mention of the UK vs. ECU Liberty Bowl yet?

ECU is the better team, hopefully UK can do better than it has of late with Hartline back at QB.

(off-subject)

Snood, the subject of Mangino came up today at a baseball showcase, one of the rumors was that he has to have a shower in his office b/c he is unable to wipe himself. Now, I don't believe it, but the person saying this (who I do respect) says this comes from a credible source.

Which wasn't the least bit surprising since they did the same thing with Michigan two years ago.

Well, in the sense that Texas beat OU but was left out of the Big 12 and BCS title games while Michigan lost to Ohio State and was left out of the BCS title game, sure, it's different.

But in the sense that Texas didn't win the Big 12 title and was dropped in favor of another 1-loss team who its conference title, it's exactly the same.

Yeah but its kinda different circumstances in that A) there is no big ten title game, even though that UM/OSU game was a defacto one, B) Michigan was #2 in the second to last BCS poll (after the loss) and was jumped by Florida, C) The voters had an agenda, not wanting UM and OSU to play again and not allowing 2 teams in a weaker Big 10 conference play each other for the title.

I am still bitter about it happening (obviously not the first time Michigan is seemingly screwed by the polls for doing nothing wrong - 1997), but it was probably the right move.

Texas didn't even get a good bowl draw. They will murder OSU and no one will blink an eye because that's what they are supposed to do. I am not sure, was that pairing pretty much set in stone? I would have hoped they played like Alabama.

Wow, BCS is going to be a yawner except for the title game this year. Texas is going to destroy Ohio State, USC is going to destroy Penn State, and Alabama is going to destroy Utah. I'd be pretty surprised if any of those games were closer than two touchdowns. Oh, I forgot Cincy/VA Tech... who cares.
