only as much as florida's strength of schedule would be helped by an 8-4 team beating a 4-8 team; i.e., very very very little.

Ah, OK. Wasn't sure if points put up by teams that beat you makes any difference on that sort of thing.

i don't believe so. personally i think that any system that regards texas tech's win over texas the same as oklahoma's win over texas tech is terrible. if you want to add a limit to margin of victory so that teams aren't rewarded for running up the score - say, 30 points - that's fine. but margin of victory should really matter.

I do agree that there should be a limit, otherwise you're pretty much promoting running up the score. I think a 20-30 cap on margin of victory would be a good thing.

Latest rumor (which I put almost ZERO stock in...):

Norm Chow to be Kiffin's OC at Tennessee.

Not gonna' happen, but that's out there floating around.

That would be hilarious. The thought of Monte Kiffin at DC and Norm Chow at OC at Tennessee makes me very happy.

I agree, though, pretty much less than zero chance of that happening.

The only reason Norm is even coaching is because he can go to his real home in Manhattan Beach after work. He's not going clear across the country again. And I don't see Kiffin wanting to do that either.

Monte wouldn't be moving across the country since he's currently housed in Tampa. The only reason I see him coming here, though, is to help his son with his first collegiate head coaching job. Otherwise, it doesn't make sense for him to leave (not really doubting your sources, Hosak).

I find it really, really odd there are no Nebraska fans here. Seems like most of them would be Cubs fans.

Anyways, lets go Buffaloes.

There's a few that show up from time to time.

Losing to Colorado at home with 12 minutes to play, ORDER RESTORED

I somehow managed to get a media pass to the MAC title game next Friday even though I applied on behalf of the Web site I write for, which probably is the first time that site has ever been given a media pass. Now I just need to get off work to go 'cover' it.
