I missed the game, but I see that LSU got double-Dicked. Winning this game (especially mising the conference's #4 rusher(only lower than #2 because of injury, mind you), makes the loss to Mississippi State that much more infuriating.

The good news is that the offense loks ready for primetime. They started getting in the endzone late in the season; they've got a conference top running back and a couple of backups who can do the job; they're getting a much more talented quarterback in next season; they return the best tight end in the conference in D.J. Williams; and they've got a fantastic trio of freshman receivers in Greg Childs, Joe Adams and Jarius Wright, and they'll all have a year behind them to start next season.

The bad news: The defense is still a question mark, since they weren't good this year and are losing a bunch of players. At least they should be able to field 3 entire linebackers from the beginning of the season, rather than converting safeties and whatnot. Also bad news: LSU, Alabama, Auburn (who I expect to be much better next year), Mississippi, Georgia, Florida, South Carolina, and Texas on the schedule. At least aTm isn't as scary a prospect as it seemed when the schedule was announced earlier this year...they get a chance to get beat by two Arkansas schools in two years now.

Would the Pac 10 ever invite Boise State to join them in full? Would Boise State accept?

There has been talk of them going to the MWC.

That move would make a lot of sense.

I'm confused as to how it would. Does the MWC have better exposure, or would it just make more sense geographically?

It has it's own network now in addition to games on Versus and the ESPN family, as opposed to just ESPN games in the WAC. It'd be a huge competitive step up too, with TCU, Utah, and BYU, they'd make a pretty strong top tier for a 10 team non-BCS conference.

No.

And of course.

Heavens no is more like it.

Kudos for the UCLA offense for scoring 17 points...granted ASU has 14 of those through turnovers.

Of course that first turnover was complete BS.

What a joke that first ASU touchdown was. And it was reviewed too. Pac-10 refs are horrible.

UCLA and ASU are freaking boring.

They're two bad teams but they're not Apple Cup bad (which would make it entertaining).

I would kill for UCLA's offensive line to be mediocre. Ditto their quarterbacking.

Kevin Craft should probably have taken up basketball when he was in high school. ](*,) ](*,) ](*,)

UCLA has 277 total yards of offense, ASU has 101.

ASU is up 24-9.

Err, 31-9.

How can one team have 4 defensive touchdowns? Kevin Craft is an abomination to quarterbacks everywhere.

ESPN.com's Graham Watson, who's essentially been the site's Ball State beat writer this year, speculates today that a bowl game matching up an undefeated Ball State and an undefeated Boise State is within the realm of possibility. But a place the game could end up, if several scenarios happen, is the Motor City Bowl if Ohio State goes to the BCS, or the Independence Bowl if Colorado loses to Nebraska and Auburn loses to Alabama.
One down, one to go. Roll Tide!

i dont wanna see boise crush ball state
You won't.

I love what Ball St. has done this year, but I believe that this year's Boise team is better than the team that won the Fiesta Bowl two years ago. I really don't think that game would be much of a contest.

Geographically, it certainly makes sense and there's no question that the Mountain West is a huge step up from the WAC.

With the addition of Boise State, the Mountain West would already be better than a few BCS conferences.

Before today I would've disagreed, but 61-10 speaks volumes. Still, if it's between a) playing Boise and b) beating Wisco or Minnesota to go 14-0 and have people still saying we weren't tested, I'll take the former.

I'd love to see a Boise State-Ball State game if for no other reason than to match up the two unbeaten teams. I mean, it's a non-BCS game so why not just have the two play.
