Wait, so you're telling me the Cubs score more runs in wins than they do in losses? Shocking, I tell you.

The Cubs are 12-8 since the All-Star Break. That is what's important.

Yup but there are several ways you can analyze how they are losing. They have been slightly inconsistent offensively.

That's how every team is. I picked the Rays randomly.

In wins: 2, 6, 4, 4, 5, 5, 3, 3, 5, 9, 6, 8, 10.

In losses: 4, 1, 2, 1, 1, 2, 1.

EDIT: That's since the All-Star break.

The Cards maybe up in the score, but that HUGE DP will turn this game around. The Cards bullpen will not hold this lead. To me, this feels like a Cubs win late.

The rays have 3 wins below 4 runs. The cubs have a 3 run gap between their closest win and loss.

The Cubs are also a better offensive team than the Rays. Every team has days where they don't hit. I don't care how good of an offense you have. That's how baseball is.

Doesn't that say more about pitching?
