Nice to see Duke playing a true road game outside the B10 Challenge, they must've been waiting for the Democrats to get the White House back before trying that again.

I expected PSU and NU to be much improved, but even they've looked better than I thought. I thought Minnesota would slip a bit, and I thought Iowa was garbage.

I was stunned they played in Mackey even, thought for sure that game would be in Indy. My favorite was them playing their challenge game against Iowa in Chicago. WTF?

I can't believe Michigan won. For some reason I thought the game was on Sunday and just went to ESPN.com to see they won. Unbelievable. 6-2 isn't the best record, but their 2 losses were to Duke (Neutral site) and at Maryland. I don't know if a 6-2 overall record will get them ranked, but thye should be among the higher of the "others receiving".

 

As for DePaul, screw you.

I cant believe it either. I wasnt so shocked they beat UCLA because UCLA offense isnt a juggernaut, but Duke? Duke knocked the crap out of a good Purdue team. I thought Purdue would be competitive that day. After i saw that game i thought UM had no chance today. These 2 wins could really help them getting in tournament this year.

SIU lost to a 1-6 Charlotte team at home today after Charlotte was fouled with 4 seconds left. They hit both FT's, then SIU called a timeout to draw up a play only to have the inbound play tapped around for a couple of seconds and never being able to get possession of the ball.

 

Awful loss. It's going to be that sort of year for us. I expected growing pains with this young team and well, here they are.

Big Ten looking to be very good this year. Finally did well in the challenge and then two mid-high teams beat top teams in the ACC and the Big East today.

Pretty entertaining game in Davis today.

 

UCD shot 58% from the field while CSU Bakersfield shot 54.1. UCD was 62.5 from three and Bakersfield was 14-24. UCD won the game 87-86 on a couple of free throws with six seconds left. Good to get a big win like this and hopefully it will springboard the team to a good winning streak.

Look up my old rants on Wainwright. I hate the guy and he has singlehandedly ruined a once proud program. We will never again be a factor nationally. Between our bad stadium situation and limited athletics budget, we don't deserve to be in the Big East. Once that conference falls apart, we will go to the Horizon League where we now belong thanks to the combined efforts of Bill Bradshaw, Jean Lenti Ponsetto, and Jerry Wainwright. A real sad situation.
