I don't see Theriot moving anywhere else but 2 in the lineup if he's in there. IIIRC, DeRo was there because Riot had the day off. I can see that lineup but with those 2 switched.

The Cubs will wear their 1948 home uniforms Thursday in conjunction with a tribute to the 60th season of Cubs baseball on WGN-Ch. 9. As part of the throwback day, WGN will televise a few innings in black-and-white with no replays or graphics, and are hoping to have a camera behind home plate like the original telecast had. Announcers Len Kasper and Bob Brenly will dress like announcers did in '48, and Kasper promised to use Jack Brickhouse's patented "Hey-Hey" call on Cubs home runs.

Geez people I was just taking a stab at the lineup, don't jump all over me. I didn't know if Lou would want a little more pop at the top of the lineup since e patt is taking soriano's spot. I don't have any problem with the real one however.

definitely. i never thought i'd say this, but i'd be fine with Theriot leading off while he's hitting like this. Fukudome 2nd. Murton and Hoffpauir platoon in LF. it's almost too obvious.

 

having said that, i've finally resided myself to the fact that Murton just isn't going to play on this team unless there are several key injuries at once. if that's the case, they might as well see where Patterson is at this point, i guess. i do think it would make more sense to put him at 2B though, with Derosa in LF.

i do think some people are expecting a little bit too much from Hoffpauir. Patterson is definitely the better prospect.
