Even McCarver and Buck are questioning why Marmol is pitching the 9th. Lou has completely lost his mind.

So the new plan is for Marmol to do 100% of the relief pitching?

I was joking when I wrote this, but it looks like I might have been right.

Well at least he didn't work too hard. Anybody off hand know how many pitches that was?

Too bad the bottom of the 9th looms

This is the dumbest baseball decision I have seen, at least this year, if not ever. This may rival anything Dusty did in his tenure.

There is no way this will make his arm explode immediately

 

So no it can't compare to stuff Dusty did

Youd think that Dustys destroying Eyre and Horwy would be a lesson, but I guess not.

what about the pitcher that lost us the game last night?

 

I think that should have gotten Dusty arrested for attempted murder

Lou is basically saying, "other than Marmol, I have no faith in any of you talent-less losers to hold even a 6 run lead, for 3 outs, against a crappy offensive team".
