Lilly vs. Lohse.

The Cubs players have absolutely pounded Lohse during his career. Hopefully they can continue that tomorrow and even up the series.

Lohse is wearing the steroid-infused, pixie dust-covered birds-on-bat now. I predict nothing less than a perfect game from him.

Loshe's stuff has never been questioned, it's always been his head. It really should be a surprise to nobody that he has put it together in St. Louis.

Of course all so-so pitchers with good "stuff" are mental midgets. I mean being in the 99.999th percentile of the worlds population at throwing a baseball hard and with accuracy instead of the 99.9999th means that you're a headcase. By put it together do you mean that he figured out how he could have an 80% strand rate? Yep, never give up a homer. It was so simple.

Can we please remind the Cards they suck. Even with ARam on the bench, the Cubs should blow these bums away...Oh wait....that is unless Soriano decides he wants to give them extra outs.

I notice this game is on FOX. I wonder what the chances are that the Cubs/Cards game will get the biased commentating of Buck/McCarver? :-k

I guess a year of not being the Cubs was too much to ask for. The suckage continues tonight.

The Cubs will have to wait and see whether Aramis Ramirez is available on Saturday. He had to leave the game after being hit on the wrist by a pitch in the sixth.

"It's pretty swollen right now," Ramirez said. "We have a day game [saturday], and that doesn't help."

Don't expect Ram today.. I hope he's okay?

BTW - It's time! I'm pulling out the "slump-buster" pseudo-soccer Cubs shirt that I bought in Aruba. Sit back and relax, we'll win today...

So Ramirez is definitely out today? Damn, Soto better play then.

I'm heading downtown to start drinking in about three hours. I'm so glad I'll be there, rather than listening to the horrid Fox announcers. My record at games this year is 0-2... time to end the losing streak!

If Cedeno isn't in today's starting lineup, sans Ramirez, I might just actually cry.

get your tissues ready. i see no way it won't be DeRosa at 3rd, Theriot at SS and Fontenot at 2B

That would really suck if Ram is out today.
