  1. The way I understand it is if you chose the print at home option, your credit card will automatically be refunded minus any fees. yeah, I skimmed it too quickly the first time. I think that's right. Where are you folks interpreting this from? I don't see any language that leads me to believe there are automatic refunds available for individual tickets printed at home.
  2. You have to mail your tix in before they'll send you a refund. They suggest a tracking service to prove they received them. Then I guess they credit you somehow. Thanks buddy! Do you have a link that gives all relevant directions?
  3. While these jokes cracked me up, I do really want some information about these refunds. I have about $500 charged on my credit card, and in this economy, every little bit helps. Info please!
  4. Sorry to have to post this... so depressing. Has anyone received their refund for their Game 5 tickets? Does anyone have any information on when/how refunds will take place?
  5. Bump in the trunk
  6. Two questions: 1--- Supposedly, you are not allowed to buy two sets of tickets per household. That said, I didn't read the fine print before ordering, and I bought one set of tickets under my account and CC, and another set on my Brother's name and CC (we are roommates). I know both credit cards were charged and I am able to print the tickets, but is there a possibility that they somehow get canceled when they catch the repeat household info? 2--- What happens if game 5 never happens? Standard refund back to card? Any help would be appreciated!
  7. To me, it has nothing to do with "big hits." The playoffs aren't about scoring runs - you win in the playoffs by preventing the opposition from scoring. Fukudome is a HUGE part of why the Cubs staff has had so much success. actually, they are about scoring runs. You can prevent runs until the snow falls, but if you don't score runs, you're not winning any games. True. Thing is, despite his absent bat, Fukudome can do some things to help the cubs score. He would add value as a pinch runner, and if the cubs desperately needed someone to come in and get a bunt down, Fuk would be one of the best options they would have (Reed being the other).
  8. Len- You're a pimp. Keep up the great work. Love the waiting for Guffman stool references.
  9. Bump and grind.
  10. I wonder if they will hold off now that Ned Yost has become available.
  11. Please justify this statement. The more I think about it, the more I believe that having LESS than 11 pitchers is lunacy. You do realize that there are 2 sets or back to back games during the LDS, right?
  12. That's what they did last year (they had 11). I think they will again, especially now that they are going with 4 starters. If they do stick to 10 pitchers in the LDS, then Hoff likely gets the nod as an extra bat off the bench.
  13. And he's going to show that in a week? Pie will likely make it regardless of his hitting because of his defense and speed. Fact is, he is the guy you want in center when trying to preserve a lead, and he is the best guy the cubs have to use as a pinch runner. I think the cubs roster will look like this: Pitchers (11) (S) Z, Demp, Harden, Lilly ® Marquis (longman), Cotts, Marmol, Wood, Howry, Shark, Gaudin (if healthy, Marshall if not) Position players (14) Lee, Derosa, Riot, Ram, Soto, Fukudome, Edmonds, Soriano, Reed, Fontenot, Blanco, Cendeno, Ward, Pie
  14. The only way you have to choose between the two (Pie and Fuk) is if the Cubs decide to carry 12 pitchers (SSR does a great job breaking this down about 5 posts up). I would be pretty shocked if that is what the cubs decided to do given the breaks between games give the bullpen more rest than during the regular season. I would be too. I'm just passing on what I saw in the paper. Can't figure out why I can't find it online. I heard talk about the same thing on the radio this morning. Don't think it has much merit, as I just cannot see the cubs leaving Fukudome of the playoff roster. That said, if we had a big time hitter from the right side of the plate available (think a right handed hitting Hoff), Kosuke might be in serious trouble.
