Fire Lou now. Really.

Pat and Ron are talking like Blanco missed the sign.

He tried bunting through the whole at bat. If he had missed the sign, Quade probably would have yelled at him after the first 2-3 times he showed bunt.

Not to mention, the Cubs had a starter on the ropes struggling with control, and they give him two free outs.

Really?

Absolutely. Bad strategic moves + burning out good pen pitchers in non-critical situations + overreacting to short samples constantly.

Lou's not the best strategist in the world, I agree, but he makes up for it in other ways.

The way Lou looked in the dugout afterwards leads me to believe it wasn't his doing.

Or he was just mad it wasn't executed as called.

But he yells, gets ejected and is old and stuff.

Like what?

I'm sending Rob Dibble to the dugout right now.

For the entire at-bat?

Like I said, Lou looked like he was pissed at Blanco afterward.

Lou was. He was fired up barking at Blanco. Some sign was missed.

This is about right.

This is my biggest beef with Lou.

And I don't know where KyleJRM came from, but he is quickly becoming one of my favorite posters.

Wow. Nice play.

On the bright side, homeboy is already at 94 pitches so we should only see him one more inning (provided we are a little patient and that Dusty doesn't go Dusty on us and leave him in for 148 pitches).

Well, I'm actually not that far from Rockford. But I've been here on and off for years.

And now the coaches are talking about it in the dugout.
