Good win. Irish did not play their best game, but they didn't need to.

Bring on Washington State. (I now feel guilty about picking WSU to beat us.)

UCLA wins it 70-29. Up next, Texas A&M on Saturday.

okay, it wasn't as bad as I thought. I was 12-4 today, missing Kent St., Kentucky, USC and BYU. my Sweet 16 is fully intact

Finally got a sweep in that last set of games, which is good because I have all of them going deeper. 13-3 on the day, and lost a Sweet 16 team in Temple. I was really pulling for Belmont so I don't have to hear how Iowa State is the last 2 seed to lose to a 15, but it wasn't to be.

13-3 for me as well, having picked Kent State, USC, and Kentucky. I had USC going to the Sweet 16.

LMAO, Duke is so pathetic. It is just hillarious how they are so overrated year in an year out. That is why UCLA is going to win it all..I mean come one, their bracket is a cake walk. They should be well rested come the Final 4.

However, when the Badgers face a team that has players who are overwhelmingly more talented than their best players are, the system tends to fall apart. I don't think the Badgers have anyone who can effectively match up with both Walker and Beasley. I don't think they'd do a good job of facing off against a loaded USC team with guys like Gibson and Mayo. I'm not saying it's impossible for them to win, but I am saying that they have a lot of trouble with those teams.

I'd say Wisconsin has difficulty with specific systems rather than talent levels. Teams that typically play up-tempo offense and/or pressure defense have presented problems to them. Beasley and Walker are outstanding talents, and if you're talking one on one, I'm not sure if the Badgers have anyone to stay in front of those guys. But this is team defense and Badgers have one of the defenses in the nation. The key for KSU is keeping Beasley on the floor. I hear he's foul prone and Wisconsin is great at getting calls. For Wisconsin, you won't see zones against Beasley. They'll let him get 30 and 20. Its just containing everyone else that will be important.

Georgia and Belmont were both in a position to make things a lot easier for Purdue, but neither of them could hold on to win. I would have gladly taken the hit to my bracket to see Duke and Xavier lose.

I can tell you UCLA won't be well rested. At the very least, the Texas A&M game will be a long grind. Their front line is going to be tough. And UCLA seems to always struggle in the second round.

After watching about 10 minutes of college basketball this entire season, I can't wait for an all day lazy fest of watching hoops.

Bring it on.
