Yeah, this may have been a fluke year for Byrnes, but he's been average to above average almsot every season. There are worse left fielders. And I don't really get Broussard/ Shelton unless you couldn't think of anyone better (or worse in this case).

I stand somewhat corrected. The only argument I have is some of the guys above Byrnes have been primarily platoon players in the past. Duncan, Dellucci, and Diaz come to mind off the top of my head. I doubt they could put up the numbers Brynes does over a full season. Luke Scott being another one that has platooned in the past.

What are those numbers? I'm suprised to see Fukudome ranked that high.

 

Also, Francoeur posted a 103 OPS+ last year. That's average, but not horrible. A guy like Teahen was below him, yet you have him ranked above. There's a whole host of guys on that list who posted a simlar 100-ish OPS+, some of whom didn't even put in full seasons.

 

I don't think Francoeur's great or anything. Don't get me wrong. I'll take Kosuke, thank you very much.
