We pulled in six three-star guys. One PG, 2 SGs, 1 SF, 1 PF, and 1 C. The center is ranked 25th in the nation at his position and one of the SGs is the 36th ranked SG in the country. Other than that I don't know much, but I'm sure they are good fits for Anderson's system.

Ball State's Worst Season Ever Watch: 0-9 after a ten-point loss to a pathetic Arkansas State team.
They'll probably win more football games than basketball this year.

Illinois failed to break 60 points against Western Carolina. #-o

Western Carolina failed to break 40 points against Illinois \:D/

Let's just go all the way and go Princeton style. We might be able to hold Iowa to about 6 points that way.

SIU should do the same thing.

We play Western Michigan tomorrow and I'm hoping we just win. I don't care if the final score is 35-34. We just need a W, badly.

I'm probably the only one who will find this amusing, but a year ago KU payed some consulting firm a zillion dollars to come up with a graphic look (font) that will be used throughout all of our school's merchandise. The hope was, that font would grow to be associated with KU. (Think the "carolina blue" of fonts.) The consultant picked the font "Trajan." As this video will show, that font appears everywhere, all the time.

57-41 loss to Western Michigan. How in the HELL do you only score 41 points against WESTERN MICHIGAN?

This is going to be a long season. Just hoping this team will catch fire, like we did two seasons ago, and win the conference tournament. That's the only shot we have if we want to make the tournament for the 7th straight year.

I know that it's women's basketball and that only a few people will actually care but I was looking at Tennessee's schedule and holy hell do they have an insane OOC schedule (rankings are where their opponent currently is):

at No. 9 Oklahoma

vs. No. 19 Texas

at No. 13 WVU

vs. No 3 UNC

vs. No. 25 Old Dominion

at No. 5 Stanford

at No. 15 DePaul

at No. 17 Notre Dame

at No. 14 Duke

vs. No. 6 Rutgers

They've already given UNC and WVU their only losses and one of Texas' and OU's two.

This whole schedule is in addition to a home/away vs. No. 21 Vanderbilt, vs. No. 8 LSU, at No. 7 Georgia, vs. No. 16 Auburn. So 14 of their 29 games are against teams currently ranked in the Top 25.

Summit schedules this type of OOC gauntlet every year. She only recently dropped UConn, because of an extreme dislike of Auriemma, or else this schedule would be worse.

It's why we win championships. The Tourney is just like the regular season.

Huzzah. Kevin Coble is still on pace to return for the Big Ten opener. It'll be great to have him back. I'm glad his mom is doing well.

Well that and you are better than everyone. I mean no one can hold a candle to Candice.

A.J. Ratliff got over a 3.0 and is eligible again. . . but rolled an ankle in practice and is out for Saturday's game against the next nobody on IU's schedule (Coppin State).

What the heck? He's determined to waste his senior year away. Can't wait to get him back. He averaged 10 ppg last year. Any word if Bassett will play?

Yeah, it's unfortunate. A.J. clearly worked very hard to improve his grades, did so, but is rewarded with an injury. He's missed -- a good defender, shooter and athlete. Plus, an experienced senior on a young team. Hopefully the ankle heals soon -- the scuttlebutt implies it's not terribly serious. Not totally sure on Bassett, but indications are he'll miss another game, to match Crawford's three-game suspension. Sure will be nice to see the whole team on the floor for once. Perhaps Dec. 29 against Chicago State?

Awesome shot by LeVance Fields. That was some major onions.

I can't wait till Festivus, I need to air out my grievance, with him, Coach K, DeMarcus Nelson, Kyle Singler, Gerald Henderson, and Dave McClure for their parts in that loss. (mostly McClure and Coach K)
