Yay Big 10!!

How very sportsman like of Shipp there at the end of that game.

Yeah, not pleased. He'll get a good 10 min yelling from Howland for that...second time he's done something like that which is what's disappointing about it. Also not happy since he was one of the most out-spoken of the way Texas popped their jerseys and swore at the Den after beating UCLA.

ETA: Shipp stepped it up big time today though. I'm overly critical since he replaced my favorite player in Arron but he had a great second half and deserve kudos.

Congrats on beating Michigan. You have now accomplished the same thing as the Harvard basketball team. :D

They're certainly no Miami of Ohio.

Lowblow! Lol this whole season of basketball is going to be rough, most of us knew that coming in. Thank God for Zook and Legion along with the recruits coming in 09.

With that said, Michigan is horrible.

The results were not at all surprising. Howland-coached teams struggle against the 1-3-1 and it was UCLA's first road game of the year. Glad to get the first road game out of the way before they go up to Berkeley and Redwood City to start Pac-10 play.

Weber certainly has gotten the egg off his face in the recruiting game.

Parents are now contradicting the Great Kelvin Sampson, big surprise there.

Indiana University basketball player DeAndre Thomas and the mother of star recruit Devin Ebanks told investigators Kelvin Sampson participated in three-way phone calls that violated previously imposed NCAA sanctions against the IU basketball coach.

Huge win for us as we beat WKU 88-78. Wesley Clemmons had 24, Shaw had 24, and Falker had 22. They were huge for us today.

The win puts us at 5-5 and sets us up for another big game next Friday night against #18 Butler.

meh, we lost in OT to siena. they're not bad -- they did top stanford earlier this year -- but the rust of not playing in 3 weeks clearly showed. guess it isn't a huge deal, but we shouldn't lose more than one more non-conf game

That's not exactly news. The fact that there were a couple people who disagreed with Sampson's account was known months ago. It was also clearly in the report that was publicized weeks ago.

Ball State's Worst Season Ever Watch: 0-11 after losing to Illinois State 65-49.

ND sucks it up in the 2nd half and barely beats San Francisco.

Uninspiring day.

Alex Legion to Illinois per foxsports.

"I liked both styles and both coaching staffs," he said. "They both fit my style, but at the end of the day, I always kind of wanted to go to Illinois. Coach Weber's system benefits guards. If he's got guards that can play, he lets you play your game."

Just don't make him practice too hard or he will cry. :P

True, the only news here is knowing who those couple people actually are. Meh.

Is that really why he's transferring from UK?

Who really knows. I hope this kid is as good as advertised, because some of his stuff is hillarious. His mother is a self-proclaimed prophet who predicted he would en up at Notre Dame. Me thinks she likes rock, as in crack rock.

Well if you listen to the UK fans, that is part of it. I guess either Alex or his mother had come out and pretty much said that Coach Gillespie was making them practice too hard or something of that nature. UK fans didn't react well to that and honestly I don't blame them.

I'm guessing he's in for a rude surprise at Urbana-Champaign. Weber doesn't seem like the type of guy who would have easy practices.

That's not exactly a contradiction. Sampson admitted to participating in impermissible calls, including, I believe, one that he was aware of. This report simply reveals who the contacted players were (it had been redacted in the Ice Miller report). Of course, I still think Sampson probably is lying. But this report is by no means a damning revelation.

That was an okay 1st half once Mizzou actually scored. It'd be nice if Trent Meachem would stop playing at a 25 ppg pace though.

For that to stop we should actually guard him for once.

I know I sound like a broken record, but Marshall Brown is the worst basketball player I've ever seen.
