UCLA pulls it out 57-54, Mayo missed the game-typing 3 off the back rim as time expired. Luc's x-rays came back negative, I'm hoping he can play by the Sweet 16 (if UCLA can win two tourney games without him :?).

IU just received the most nauseating run of calls I've ever seen in my entire life. Eric Gordon gets a Wade-esque call on a drive, can't tie it from the line, White tips in a FT miss and a foul that wouldn't even be called in the ACC, and then White misses that FT for the lead and gets another ridiculous ticky-tack foul. Under no circumstances should this be an IU win.

I've never seen a decent to good 3 point shooting team go so cold before.

In their last 5 games, IU is: 25 for its last 115.

That's 21.7 percent.

That's absolutely atrocious, and IU doesn't have 3 dominant post men to make up for that.

Unless IU can find some way to shoot better, they'll get beat, and they'll probably get beat badly in their first tournament game.

Whoever plays Miss St. tomorrow is going to be at a tremendous disadvantage. They probably won't get in the bed until 3 and then they have to play tomorrow at 3:15.

The UGA/UK game has been postponed.

There is no currently set time for it to be made up. I'd think it'd have to be sometime tomorrow early morning.

No team should have to play a DH'er, whether it be UK or UGA.

THE KARMA GODS SAVE MINNESOTA!!!

What an ending!!!

Wow, just wow!!! Length of the court pass with :02 on the clock, caught by the guy who won the state championship in Minnesota with a 3 from his backside a couple years ago, who then turns around and shoot an off balance lefty hook shot (he's right handed) and hits nothing but nylon!!!! Un-freakin-belivable!!!

Hello, IU, this is Karma, and I'm a beeyotch!!!!

It's the absolute worst case scenario for the committee. They absolutely hate when a team who isn't going to make the tournament otherwise makes the Big 10 final. It causes massive problems for the bracket because the Big 10 final doesn't end until about 25 minutes before the bracket is scheduled to come out.

So, Illinois in the semis against Minnesota, hoping to make it 3 wins in a year against the Gophers...

Hey, I called it! :)

At this point, it kinda looks like the B10 is the least of the issues with the mess down in ATL at the SEC tourney though. But yeah, it is a small problem for them, but all they have to do is have 2 scenarios. ILL or Minny in at a 13 seed or the bracket as it would otherwise be. Not a huge deal.

The only problem is all the bracket rules. They can't just put Ill or Minn anywhere, they have to put them where they won't meet another Big 10 team in 1 of the first 2 rounds. And there's a lot of Big 10 teams swirling around those types of seeds (3-6) so it likely won't be a matter of just swapping 1 team out and 1 team in. They will create 2 scenarios for it, but it will take a little bit of work to get it right.

I just saw the 2 fouls called for White in the last 4 seconds and was able to replay them a few times. I thought the first call was absolutely horrible (if anything, they could have called a foul on White for pushing his guy in the back), and the second call I agreed with.

The Refs tried to gift wrap it, but the miracle kid from MU was having no part of it.

Who's ready for a Minnesota/Illinois Big Ten semifinal?

\:D/

It is pretty funny because both IU and PU fans have been talking all week about a rematch between the Hoosiers and Boilers.

Personally I think Indiana should be bumped to the play-in game on Tuesday. They would lose and save me the pain of watching them lose on Thursday or Friday.

Indiana's won its last game.

While IU was the beneficiary of some calls at the end tonight (probably, I was there in person and didn't have a good view), claiming they get every call all the time is asinine.

Edit: Embarrassingly bad grammar.

Luc officially out for tomorrow's game against Stanford. Sprain was the exact same place as he sprained his ankle earlier this season.

Well, WSU might still have a chance against Stanford.

Well, THIS should piss off bubble teams...

The SEC is considering naming "Co-Tourney Champions" in the midst of the fallout from the weather in Atlanta. The winner of Tennessee/Arkansas would be one of the co-champs. The UK/UGA winner would play Miss St on Sunday for the other co-champion title. If UGA were to win out, they would be co-champions, and possibly in line for an automatic berth in the Tourney.

That's right, the SEC might get TWO auto bids...

If that isn't a crock, nothing is.

I don't think the SEC would have the right to do that without NCAA approval (which maybe they already got). A conference doesn't have the power to grant itself a second automatic bid; only the NCAA itself would have that power.

That Illinois game was awesome. Went to BWW to watch it in DeKalb and the place was going nuts.

And a big lol at Indiana. You couldn't have possibly scripted that ending.

No it was a good game down to the last 30 seconds. At which point I thought the referees played far too big a role.

Just saw the shot by that Minnesota kid, that was crazy.

USC fouled Darren Collison to try to stop the clock late in the game. As he was fouled, he was poked in the eye and apparently saw 3 rims as he shot the FTs...and swished them both. :-s

His high school one was better. From his backside he hit a shot to win the state title.
