Michigan beat Iowa 55-47. Ugly offenses in the second half.

psu-illinois score might be lower than that... bring on the big ten brickfest.

Not sure why that Iowa-Michigan score was surprising. Both teams are pretty bad.

Like you said, this game won't be much better. In fact, it has a good chance to be even worse.

I was expecting bad, but that second half was....really, really bad. Like I said above, Michigan went scoreless for 10 minutes, but Iowa went and trumped them by going 16 minutes in the second half without a basket (8 free throws). Iowa made 5 jumpshots for the entire game, none in the second half.

So 6 minutes to go in the first half, PSU is shooting 83% from 3-point range, but Illinois still somehow leads by 6. Reason for that? Illinois shooting 100% from the FT line.

Yeah, I don't get it, either.

and penn state is turning it over every other possession while the Illini have about 87 offensive rebounds

Well, yeah, but I was just commenting on the weird shooting numbers. It's like they enlarged the baskets for this game.

Right now Colorado is beating Baylor by 12 in the 2nd half. I almost wonder if that would be enough to knock out Baylor from the tournament. Colorado is bad, and that might be enough to get someone like Ohio State or Florida in, in front of them.

No excuse to lose to Colorado, especially at a neutral court.

Illinois is really doing their best to blow this.

It'll be exciting to see how Illinois finds a way to lose this one.

Ahh well, so close. Well, three close games against PSU. First close (within a basket) win this year.

Is Penn States point guard really this good?

which one? Talor Battle?

Yeah, he is pretty good. How in the hell have you guys not done better in the league with him and the one good player you had who didn't get hurt right away. I always mix the two up.

ASU down 4 to USC with about 3 minutes. They were up 9 with about 10 minutes to go and have had many opportunities in the last minute or so cut into the deficit or tie it up and have failed. Probably a must-win for the Sun Devils.

the team is REALLY young. they only dressed like 8 guys today, 3 or 4 of which were freshmen.

Battle is amazingly confident for an 18 year old, and has already become the vocal leader/court general for the team. hope he continues to improve over the next 3 seasons

Yeah he is pretty solid. Got to the lane with ease and finished. He used Fraizer like toilet paper.
