Aaron Gray absolutely and totally sucks. Him being taken is probably the most pissed off I'll ever be about a completely random and pointless draft pick.

And if he ever plays I will smack Skiles with a 2x4.

You better get your 2x4 ready as Skiles was on Comcast last night saying they were considering starting Gray at center with Wallace at the 4. If hes considering starting him, Id say its an automatic given hes going to play.

Gray can be sneaky good for a big man. I think he'll put up 8 pt 8 reb numbers for the Bulls this year.

If he's getting those numbers, the Bulls are probably going to be among the worst teams in the league.

Posted
That's got to be coachspeak, right? Gray is an oaf, he's going to get brutalized in the NBA.

I dont know, but hes been able to score so far in the preseason. Hes big and slow on D, but offensively he has shown potential.

I don't see it. He's waaaay too slow for the NBA. He barely could handle good NCAA teams.

Aaron gray would hardly be the first stiff to log a few minutes a game. I doubt he'd kill the team unless he ends up playing a big role. And that seems unlikely w/ the bigs ahead of him.
Posted
He better not play a significant role. I certainly hope Skiles/Pax weren't seriously thinking he was going to amount to anything. He's just a guy. He should be happy he got the life experience of being listed on an NBA roster. He can show that to his grand kids someday. But be an effective player? Prove it, big guy.

Comcast is about to talk about Aaron Gray after the commercial

Nothing really said that hasnt been talked about here. Skiles is considering using a more offensive starting lineup which could include Gray starting at C and Wallace at 4. Or he may go more defensive with a guy like Noah getting the start.

Has Tyrus died?

Not this crap again, Skiles.

Yea Im not sure what is up with Tyrus, makes no sense. Id much rather him start than Noah(its going to take a long time for me to like this goofball).

Question for those who have been to the UC for Bulls game. How is the views from most of the seating around the stadium? Is there a lot of bad views, or is pretty much anywhere a good seat? Thinking about going to my first Bulls game ever against the Celtics in Dec and the tickets are Upper Level Baseline 310. I can get them for 40 bucks a piece, should I?

If the Lakers trade Kobe to the Bulls and Ben Wallace is a part of the deal, I'm finding a new team. I want no part of a declining "never was a superstar but is being paid superstar money". Ben Wallace never was that great of a player and has been steadily declining since the 02-03 season.

Gordon has to be the centerpiece of any deal with Tyrus Thomas included as well.

Posted
I'd trade them Gordon, easily. Without hesitation.

I'd keep Hinrich and Deng.

and they'd laugh at you

Think so? If I offered them Gordon, Thomas, Wallace, and a couple picks and salary filler, do you really think they're going to get better offers than that from anyone not in their conference?

we'll see, but I'm betting they would rather trade for Deng straight up than any package of filler/picks

I'm sure they'd rather do that as well, but I don't see how they have any leverage. He wants out. They want him gone. He can opt out after this season. Dallas isn't going to deal equal value for him. New York has a pile of crap they can deal. I suppose Phoenix could deal Marion and others for him, but that just makes Phoenix much stronger and LA a ton weaker, and it's in their division. Kobe would veto a trade anywhere else.

They're going to have to mae a tough decision. They can lose him for nothing, or get 70 cents on the dollar for him. I'd rather have 70 cents than nothing.

Unless the Lakers get a bunch of expiring contracts in return, I'd rather just let Kobe walk rather than get stuck with some crappy contracts and not very good players in return. At least if you let Kobe walk you have $20M freed up for next offseason.

Yeah, those seats are fine. I don't think there are any bad views in the place. I've sat in 310, albeit in the back where the $10 seats are, and my only complaint would be the leg room.

Thanks Jon Im really looking forward to getting to see a Bulls game finally. So you think those seats are worth 40 bucks? Also are there any decent hotels near by? One last thing, how is the area around the UC, is it pretty safe?

NO! Unless things have changed dramatically you will want to stay and play elsewhere.

Haha sounds like stitch may have some interesting stories....

Its just not a desirable place to be walking around randomly. UC tips: don't park in the lots, for god's sake. You can park safely on the street 3 blocks to the southeast of the United Center by Moretti's. No tickets issued (restaurant is located at Jackson and west of Ashland) at all. Parking in the lots near the UC is minimum 15 bucks, and most are 20-25.

Don't stay there. If you want, stay in Rosemont and ride the blue line for an hour and you're at the Medical Center stop and its a 4 block walk north to the stadium.

There's not much of a scene around the UC worth hanging around for.

Hope this helps.

Kevin Martin and Kelenna Azubuike will be All-Stars.

It seems to me that having $20m freed up in the NBA isn't all that useful.

It's not "fear for your life and belongings" status as long as you stay on major streets. During Bulls games there is a lot of police presence and its not really that bad at all. The neighborhood is actually improving. There is a college and high school nearby and of course the Medical Center to the south. And yes, take Mark's advise and park near Moretti's.
