Ron Artest and Kirk Hinrich to LA, Kobe to Chicago, other parts to Sacramento. As davhern said, upper management involved in the trade talks. Trade is in front of Kobe to approve with his NTC.

Tyrus Thomas will likely start today for the Bulls.

If Deng stays and Thomas isn't one of the "parts", I already like this deal for the Bulls, assuming they still have a PG at the end of the night.

thabo can play PG, or you can suck it up and play Gordon at the point. or you can make Bryant be the least assist-y PG in the world

Would prefer Hinrich stay and Gordon go because Gordon's value is diminished with Kobe around.

I expect Gordon is probably still gone, but perhaps to the Kings. I'm just implying that Gordon+Hinrich for Kobe works out better for the Bulls than Gordon+Deng for Kobe.

Oh ok, fair enough.

I hope Thabo can handle the point, not sure he can.

Is it wrong that I am secretly hoping Noah goes to the Lakers, so I can avoid rooting for him and hate him again?

Does this mean Gordon is staying? Thomas starting for the Bulls was announced this morning before this deal was ever announced. I don't see how Thomas wouldn't be included.

Sac gets: Duhon, Griffin, Khryapa, 1st rounder

Bulls get: Kobe

Lakers get: Hinrich, Artest, Thomas

I could see that as a possibility. Money works out okay that way.

EDIT: If Gordon is involved replace Duhon, Griffin and the 1st with Gordon and it works. I really hope that isn't the case, though.

You aren't the only one.

Poor Jordan Farmar, on the same team as Joakim Noah. :(

I don't like giving up Hinrich. He's wildly underrated.

No, he isn't. Not even close. He's a good complimentary player. I'd love to have him and Kobe on the same team. Hinrich plays great defense, hustles, and shoots decently. However, if giving him up means we get the best basketball player on the face of the earth, then sign me up.

If the Lakers only get Hinrich and Artest in return, I won't be too happy. I won't be pissed like I would have been had the Lakers received ben Wallace in return, but I see no reason why you can't get the Bulls to include Thomas in that deal as well.

Because the Lakers are the one who HAVE to make the deal not the Bulls. The way this has gone, the Lakers arent going to get true value for Kobe, and after last nights booing, its a forgone conclusion Kobe is gone soon.

You're wrong. His numbers compare favorably to Chauncey Billups. He's the best defender on the team by far, and a good point. He's a better player than Gordon.

This team would not be as good without him.

Kobe can replace his defense. Kirk is wildly inconsistent on offense from night to night, and he is prone to turnovers himself. I like Kirk, and would wish he could stay and play with Kobe, but Id give him up in a minute for Kobe.

The Lakers don't HAVE to make the deal. They want to make the deal but it's not like it has to get done today. It's not like they would demand Thomas and Deng in addition to Artest and Hinrich. There's no reason Thomas shouldn't be included.

They're not talking about the trade at all on the Lakers flagship station.
