Here's the thing though. I don't see the Lakers waiting until December 15th to ship Kobe out. It seems like everyone wants him gone, so I see a deal that happens very, very soon.

 

That's my thinking as well, though, admittedly, I'm not knowledgeable enough to know the ins and outs of making a deal work. It seems that LA and Chicago really want this deal to get done, and that might be enough to make it happen.

What I'm hearing in LA is that the Kings thing might be dead and the Bulls, Suns and Lakers are talking about a post-Dec. 15th trade.

 

Bulls trade: Noc, TT, Gordon

Lakers trade: Kobe Bryant, Kwame Brown

Suns trade: Shawn Marion

 

Obviously the Bulls would be getting Kobe and the Lakers would be getting Marion, but who else goes where? I would guess Brown to the Suns but that's not enough in return for Marion.

 

My friend heard this - he told me that Kwame definitely went to the Suns and Gordon to the Suns but he wasn't sure about the rest.

 

The janitor at my office says that's B.S., it's a 3-way Bulls/Lakers/Portland.

 

What the heck? I prefaced that the radio station isn't that great but it's an actual rumor being reported by sports radio in the city Kobe plays in.

Wow. It appears that Deng HAS been included in trade proposals, but Kobe has vetoed those trades because he wants to play with Deng. Chris Sheridan has a real good article up on the front page of ESPN.com.
