When I started going out with my girlfriend in January, I showed her Fever Pitch (mind you I left the room and did other things while she was watching it) and at the end explained to her that I am the Cubs fan version of this and that if she dates me she has to realize that I am going to be like this for most of the Spring-Fall. There have been a few testy moments where I can tell that she is thinking "What did I get myself into"..but overall its gone over well.

 

I think I pretty much found the perfect women. She's obsessed with the Cubs too and has no problem with watching the games with me. She loves going to Wrigley, and basically said if I wanted to we could spend the money to get tickets to all the playoff games if we can't get them on cubs.com.

 

but doesn't she have that one, um, "flaw" that you've mentioned before?

 

she's a one position woman, if that's what you're talking about, but she lets me do things that are illegal in some states though, so that makes up for it.

 

enough about girlfriends though. i can't wait for this game to start. went down to wrigley and bought a Z t-shirt and a DeRosa t-shirt.

I actually wouldn't have cared if Monroe made it over Fontenot. Seriously, Fontenot has been real bad for a long time.

I know what you are saying, but at least with Fontenot it gives you another lefty on the bench when Floyd starts. Had they choosen Monroe over Fontenot, the bench would be really really right handed heavy. Also to me, Fontenot has done more to help this team win, then Monroe has, so I really feel Monroe had no business on this roster.

 

 

By the way, they are replaying the clincher on Comcast right now, and Im guessing they will show the celebration for those interested.

If Kendall has to start against the DBacks, I'd prefer him starting against Webb. Soto would eat up Davis and Hernandez and I can easily see Kendall having better success against a sinkerballer like Webb.
