So this means if we beat the Reds tonight, they'll be mathematically eliminated. Correct?

You betcha!

Cards are sweeping the Brew, and I don't really know how or why.

I honestly wouldn't be surprised. For whatever reason they have the Brewers number this year.

That's going to feel so very, very dirty rooting for the Cardinals.

Nah, you're actually rooting for the Cubs. I'm hoping the Cards get all the losing out of their systems real quick and go on a mini-miracle run to try to get back to respectable at season's end and help us in the process.

On cubs.com, it says the game is on wgn tonight??? Has it been changed or is that a mistake by Muskat??

WGN's website says it is WCIU. My channel guide says the same.

Soto better be starting tonight by the way. Also is there anyway to see if Soto faced Shearn this year in the minors?

For the love of Electric Jesus, yes.

He did not. They didn't play in the same league-Shearn was with Louisville in the International League.

I was all pumped for yesterday's game, but today's game could just be rained out for another six weeks for all I care. Is it time for lineups? Already? Gah, here we go again.

Go cobs :(

They'll win tonight. I don't get why anyone would panic over last night, unless it repeats itself tonight and perhaps tomorrow.

BTW, the title of this thread is dumb. Just sayin'.

when it's your turn, you can call the thread whatever you want.

And in the interim I will feel free to comment on posts that I don't agree with. Thanks!

Love seeing Soto in there. Wish Theriot was getting some time off though, or at least moved down to 8th in the lineup.

Nice to see Soto there.

Didn't Shearn come straight from AA??? So methinks Soto hasn't faced him this yr.

You, sir, obviously didn't read the previous page. He was called up from Louisville, which is in AAA.
