Good test for Michigan St this week. I was impressed with game 1. The have more talent than Bowling Green. They should win. Its still Michigan St and they will have to do well for several weeks to earn my trust.

I'm really excited for this weekend. Leaving at around 1 in the afternoon on Friday to make the 6 hour trip back up north to DeKalb. I definitely think SIU has a chance of making it two years in a row with wins over I-A schools.

As far as the Illini go, they should have their way with WIU. Western's a fringe top 25 team in I-AA, but I don't really think that they deserve that merit. Just keep Juice healthy, please.

Notre Dame biggest underdogs in Weis era at +17. Even bigger than '05 USC. Clausen starting i'm taking the Irish and the 17.

Sad thing is, I might bet on PSU with that line.

I would like to request that 'UC Davis' be known as 'The Pathetic Losers From Davis' until further notice. Feel free to shorten it to TPLFD.

Yes I still am that ticked off.

If they were playing at home this week I wouldn't go to the game (unless I had to work) after that sorry spectacle last Saturday.

-Watch out for South Florida. Auburn was unimpressive against K-State (albeit so was USF in their opener), and USF is a team on a meteoric rise. I think there's an excellent chance this game catapults USF into the nation's mind, polls and major bowls.

I imagine South Florida is going to bring 7 or 8 in the box, stop the run, and see if the o-line and Brandon Cox can find the open receiver. Cox wasn't able to do that for the first 3 quarters against K-State.

Auburn wins 19-13.

I may be heading to Penn St. in an RV this weekend for some debauchery. Anyone going to the game?

PriorPower is. I'm not forking over $1500 for a ticket to what is likely to be a not very competitive game

they are trying to do a stadium-wide white out, but i guarantee that the grumpy old alumni and boosters who have all the seats between the 40 yard lines will eff it up

I'll be rooting for Auburn. I've always liked them for some reason -- plus they got a raw deal when they went 13-0 and I thought Tuberville got a raw deal the year before when he was almost ousted. That said, I'd be very concerned if I were them.

I have no idea what to expect against Ole Miss.

We're going to score points, probably quite a few. Aside from that, well let's just say that every game left on the schedule (save Illinois St.) scares the crap out of me.

I simmed the Ill. St. game in my NCAA 08 dynasty and we won 70-0, so I expect about the same for that in real life.

-Big game for the Hoosiers. If they are to make a bowl -- a completely reasonable proposition -- they likely must win this game. It's a game they should win, and a team like IU cannot afford to lose such a game as they're so few and far between.

-BenJarvus Green-Ellis...tear...wish you were still at IU...

This is probably the toughest non-conf game for the Hoosiers. On the road, but we beat them last year 39-20 in Bloomington with a lesser QB. The defense really impressed last week (5 sacks vs. 14 all last year), hopefully that will continue.

Also, PSU people any recomendations on where my Notre Dame friends and I should go on Friday and Saturday?

6 23 year old dudes who wish they were still in college if that helps.

I don't know much on the bar scene. I've heard a few places, like Pickle's Tap Room, are alright, but Derwood might know better. Just don't advertise that you're ND fans.

in a one mile stretch along college/beaver avenues (two parallel streets downtown) there are over 80 eating/drinking establishments, with dozens more outside of town. you'll have to be more specific

I can't wait to leave on Friday for Ole Miss. Leaving at 12 with three buddies, going to our hotel in New Albany, and then off to I guess the square, which is a bunch of bars. Go Mizzou!

This is a formal request.

Thank God Syracuse is playing 2 Big 10 teams in a row, we will finally get a breather in the schedule until we play some tough teams in the Big East. :D

Hey Bob....how are those big Iowa boys of yours this year? We're going to make your defensive line look like All-Americans this weekend.

PriorPower if you have something in the non-bar scene for us to do that'd work. We spend the whole weekend together.

Joking, unless you have hot friends, then only half joking.

Just hope that you don't sit next to anyone that's really overweight because those seats are too small for a size zero model.
