Paternoville expected to be biggest yet

I haven't wandered over there yet, but I have seen plenty of pictures.

Colin Cowherd is doing his show from The HUB today

I saw them setting up an ESPN booth there yesterday. I guess that's what it was for.

It would be ok if he could aim and hit Cowherd.

no smack talk this week?

I already wrote some smack talk....I've been waiting for you to respond!

Oops, completely missed it. As much as I'd like to defend the Big 10 [eleven], Michigan did a whole lot to ruin our credibility.

Our D-line has a lot of experience and most of them are pretty good. There's really no reason this should be a close game. Last I checked we were a 21.5 favorite, but we were also a big favorite last year. I'm planning on staying sober for most of this one, but that's really hard to do with such a late start.

Our offensive line is terrible and we're extremely slow on defense so if the young QB can get the ball to the talented receivers we might give you a battle otherwise, this is one of the worst teams we've had since the early 70's. We lost our best defensive player (freshman) to a blood disorder and the soph RB who is very good to the Bo Jackson hip thing. God, this stinks.

Huge game for Indiana. Western Michigan is a pretty decent MAC opponent and they will be fired up in front of their home crowd especially after getting pounded in Bloomington last season.

Yeah, Lou Holtz was saying the ND's defense is better than people think. He said they kept Georgia Tech to 1 for 6 on 3rd down conversions. That's when May started almost yelling "But they gave up 33 points!"

Hilarious. It really doesn't look like it ND's year.

Fortunately for me, I tend to not care what Lou Holtz thinks

Does anybody not named Lou Holtz care what Lou Holtz thinks? :D

Jimmy Claussen=FAIL

He failed when he chose ND.

They may have offered him the most money though.

Holtz is an idiot because our defense is not the reason we will lose tomorrow, and May is an idiot because ND gave up all of 9 points on 4 red zone trips last week until Justin Brown decided to start headbutting people.

Lou Holtz is a ND homer, that's not exactly surprising. Beano Cook would probably pick Pitt to beat USC.

In other news, I've never, ever seen downtown as nuts as it was tonight. We took a drive through on the way to drop a friend off after our trip to pittsburgh. A Chinese restaurant with a tiny bar area (about 4 people can fit there) had a line at 1:50 AM. Ohio State 2005 was crazy, and Arts Fest - a summer thing where some people come to look at art and everyone else comes to get drunk - is always nuts, but tonight was another level. I figure about 250,000 people will be in State College at around kickoff time tomorrow evening. That's about 3 times the normal population. There isn't a hotel room available within 75 miles.

I bet the Mizzou boys from NSBB who traveled down to Oxford are going to be thoroughly surprised to find out that the bars close at 1 here.....stupid Puritanism.

I was going to say that it should say something about ND's defense that Georgia Tech only got to third down 6 times in the game but then I looked up the stats and GT was 5-13 on the game in third downs.

Lou Holtz has to be one of the worst analysts on TV right now. I mean, you can accuse a lot of guys about having a bias but Lou openly displays his in refusing to pick against ND and South Carolina ever. It's like a real life version of the old SNL skits with the Bears fans picking their team to beat anybody. You could match Notre Dame up against an NFL All-Star team and Lou would pick Notre Dame to win.

OK farm boy, todays the day you get your butt kicked by the worst team in the Big East! I've been drinking my orange kool aid and I'm ready to roll!

I'm worried about TCU tonight, hopefully last week was the wakeup call and got Texas the whipping they needed in practice this week.

That should be a heck of a game. IMO, Texas may have been getting ready for TCU last week as I know many coaches throw in the next tough game into the practice mix when they play a creampuff the week before.

Pretty much. I couldn't fall asleep last night from all the noise outside. This weekend is just insane.
