It seems like all the Zach Randolph rumors died...is he sitll on the trading block?

He might not be if they decide to go with Durant over Oden which seems like a possibility.

The ability Durant has for not being able break a Twix bar is amazing.

I would think he can bulk up seeing as he's only 19-year old, but Oden should be the no-doubt first pick overall.

I wouldn't pass up Oden either, but did you see some of the results from Durant's workouts?

Durant looks like a better player right now though. I have a feeling he can dominate the NBA. I'm not sure if Oden will ever be able to put it all together offensively. He will still be a pretty damn good center if he doesn't though, so its a tough call.

Sun-Sentinel[/url]"]Although not often discussed, Riley actually had to be talked out of taking Central Michigan center Chris Kaman at No. 5 in 2003. His personnel staff instead pushed for the younger, less experienced Dwyane Wade.

Stupid Heat scouts.

Wow, Kaman is a 2003 guy? He seems like he's been around forever.

So are Bulls fans satisfied with a team that's basically the same as last year plus Noah?

I thought they needed a big scorer.

Pretty hard to say they are the same team when free agency hasnt even begun dont you think? I hated the draft, and Ive made it well known I really hate the Noah pick, but I still have faith in Pax to make a trade or get a free agent to help this team over the hump. Its nice when you can actually have faith in a GM, just wish it could be said for every team I like.

Free agency hasn't even started - we don't know what the final product will look like.

I, most likely in the minority, am. Two biggest needs according to experts were low post scoring and veteran perimeter players. As for the VPP, Cpt. Kirk is now 4 years deep, with Gordon, Deng, and (hopefully) Nocioni being in their 3rd year. Getting close to veteran status.

Most people thought we could made NBA finals with that team last year. Add in another year of experiance, hopefully Thomas develops offensively downlow, and another shutdown defender in Noah, I am quite happy. Plus, As Deng develops, he's been working on his mid-range post moves, which would open up the lane more for our slashing, pick and roll guards.

Who is a big scorer available in free agency? Who is anybody that can make a difference that's available in free agency?

Appreciate it. Hopefully I won't be too much of a homer.

The Bulls can't make any significant moves without including Nocioni or PJ Brown in a sign and trade deal. Since both are free agents, that can't happen until the free agency period begins after July 1. So it's not just free agents the Bulls will be looking it. It's trades.

I know the list isnt overly impressive, but I think Pax will find somebody who is at least serviceable, and able to score 10-15 a game which is all they need really. Not sure if this person is available in free agency, or if it will come by trade.

I think we'd have to get one through a trade.

I was under the impression that one of the biggest trade chips they had was the pick. Once the draft actually happens, the value of those picks typically evaporates.

Not if the hold up on a trade is contingent on the bulls being able to acquire Joakim Noah. Most teams want to make sure they can get their guy before they acquire that pick. With so many teams linked to Noah, its not shocking the Bulls weren't able to shop the pick if other teams with a superstar weren't biting at the nine pick before the draft.

The good old evaporating pick value.

Evaporation of picks = sucks.

Got it 8-)

Terry Boers from the SCORE said that he heard rumors that the Bulls want Curry back. Why would New York want to get rid of him? Too many scorers and reduce payroll?

Sure the Bulls may want him back, but like you mentioned, why would New York want to get rid of him? His contract is nice and there are not many athletic centers around.

Its possible NY is scared about the matador interior style defense of Randolph and Curry. If NY truly wants to rebuild they could get some young talent and possibly an expiring contract in exchange. This could make sense fiscally and from an overall team talent perspective. But I just don't see that ever happening.

Thomas and Noah?  I'd do that deal in a minute.

Athletic center = Curry?? Under what definition are we operating here?

If they get Curry back to go with Noah, I'll have to go back to hating the Bulls again.

Actually, Curry is extermely athletic. He has tons of God Given talent. Problem is he plays 0 defense, doesn't rebound, and choses when he wants to play hard on offense.

I'll take his 20/7 with a .570+ FG%. He is exactly what this team needs (inside scoring). He's not the best player out there, but fills a need very well. That said, I don't see it happening.
